Welcome to our English lesson. I’m your new English teacher，you can call me Miss Xu. Please get your English books ready. Let’s have fun. T: Today, we are going to enjoy an English story. First, let’s read our learning aims: (1) According to the pictures，you can describe others’ clothes. (2) According to the pictures or videos, you can understand the story. (3) You can read the story fluently and beautifully. (4) After learning, you can help the crow. T: Are you ready? Let’s enjoy a song first. 【In class: Let’s learn】 Step One: Warm up A: Enjoy a song: Clothes B: Let’s review: What do the animals wear? Who What Bear blue trousers/ a blue cap/ a white T-shirt Pig a blue sweater Duck a black T-shirt Rabbit a blue coat/ blue trousers Cat a pink dress Bear a white shirt Step Two: Story time- before reading T: Look at him? Who’s he? (Mr Bird) Is he happy? (No, he’s sad.) Why is he sad? Let’s read the story together. (watch the cartoon) Step Three: Story time- while reading A: Watch and answer T: Why is Mr Bird sad? ( Because he doesn’t like his black clothes.) T: What clothes does he like? Let’s watch again. He likes the red cap/ the blue coat/ the green trousers/ the yellow shoes. T: What will he do? Let’s read and find the answer. B: Read and answer T: What will Mr Bird do? (read the story) 1 He will dye his black cap red. 2 He will dye his coat blue. 3 He will dye his black trousers green. 4 He will dye his black shoes yellow. (Teach: dye) C: Think and say T: Is he successful? (No.) T: How do you know? (Oh, no. My clothes are still black.) T: Why? Let’s watch a video. My students try an experiment, let’s watch.
