教学目标
1. 能够听懂、会说与寒假活动相关的单词及短语:ice lanterns, bring, be afraid of, hear;
2. 能够听懂、会说用来询问对方假期计划和打算的功能句:What are you going to do? Where are you going?以及相应答语;
3. 能够初步学会在恰当的情境中运用以上功能句,并能按要求在所提供的语境中书写几个意义连贯的句子。

Step 1 Revision
1. Look and say
T: Last lesson, we’ve learned many winter vacation activities. Do you remember? Please look and say
Ss look at the pictures and review the winter vacation activities.
2. Talk about Binbin’s winter vacation plan
T: Wow, you know so many winter vacation activities. Binbin is going to do a lot of things during his winter vacation. Look, what is he going to do in January?
Ss: From January 16th to 20th, Binbin is going to skating lessons.
On the 22nd, he is going to Harbin.
After he comes back, he is going to watch a football match.
T: Oh, you have a good memory. What about February? What is Binbin going to do in February? Please talk with your partner.
Ss ask and answer about Binbin’s plan in February.
T: I think Binbin will have a wonderful winter vacation. How about our friend Lily?

Step 2 Know about Lily’s winter vacation plan
1. Look and find
T: Look, Lily is talking about her winter vacation plan with Miss Wu. Miss Wu is curious about her plan. What questions does Miss Wu ask? Let’s look and find.
S1: Miss Wu asks “Where are you going?”
S2: Miss Wu asks “What are you going to do there?”
T: Excellent!
2. Think and guess
T: Do you have any ideas? Where is Lily going and what is she going to do there? Please guess.
T: Good ideas! Now let’s listen and tick.
3. Listen and tick
T: Please get your pencils and books ready.(播放录音)
T: OK. Boys and girls, have you got the answers? Let’s check.
Where is Lily going?
S1: She is going to Harbin.
T: Harbin is a beautiful city. There is a lot of snow in winter in Harbin. So the winter in Harbin is cold but beautiful.
T: What is Lily going to do in Harbin?
S2: She is going to see ice lanterns, play in the snow and visit her uncle’s family.
T: It often snows in Harbin. So people use snow to make lanterns. Look, how beautiful they are! Read after me.(拿出单词卡片) ice lanterns(读两遍)
T: What else is Lily going to do?
S3: She is going to ski. She is going to bring back some Harbin sausages.
T: Good job!

4. Read and judge
T Lily is going to do so many things during her winter vacation. Now, let’s read the dialogue again and learn more. Here are some true or false questions.
No1: Lily likes cold weather.
No2: Lily is going to have a skating lesson before going to Harbin.
No3: Lily is going to bring back some sausages because they are famous in Harbin.

T: Have you got the answers, boys and girls? Let’s check.
T: Lily likes cold weather. True or false?
S1: False. Because Lily says “I don’t like cold weather. I’m afraid of getting a cold.”
T: Yes, she doesn’t like cold weather, because she is afraid of getting a cold. What does “be afraid of” mean? It means you are worried that something bad will happen to you.(播放I don’t like cold weather. I’m afraid of getting a cold.)
T: Let’s read together.
T: Next question. Lily is going to have skating lessons before going to Harbin. Is it true?
S2: False. Because Lily says “I can’t ski now, but I’m going to have skiing lessons.”
T: Great! Because Lily can’t ski, she is going to have skiing lessons before she goes to Harbin.
T: Lily is going to have a good time in Harbin. Before she comes back, she is going to bring back some sausages. Why? Are the sausages famous in Harbin?
S3:True. Lily says “I’m going to bring back some sausages for you. I hear they are famous in Harbin.”
T: Wonderful! Lily is going to bring back some sausages because she wants to give them to her teacher—Miss Wu. And sausages are famous in Harbin.
T: Boys and girls, here are some sausages. Please read after me. Sausage(读两遍)

6. Retell Lily’s plan
T: Boys and girls, can you talk about Lily’s plan in different ways? You can ask and answer in pairs. You can talk about Lily’s plan in groups. Choose the way you like. Let’s talk.
Ss talk about Lily’s plan.

Step 3 Do a survey
1. Know more about friends’ winter vacation plans
T: Lily is going to see ice lanterns, play in the snow, visit her uncle’s family and ski during her winter vacation. Boys and girls, what are you going to do this winter vacation?
Ss talk about their plans for winter vacation.
2. Do a survey
T: All of you are going to have a wonderful winter vacation. What about your friends or classmates? What are they going to do in the winter vacation? Let’s do a survey. First, please listen to Andy and Yaoyao.(播放动画)
T: Are you clear? Now it’s your turn. Please ask your classmates or friends about their winter vacations.
Ss do a survey among classmates or friends.
3. Share and talk
