This is a listening and reading lesson. It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit. In this unit, students will learn to talk about the history of inventions. Such a topic is related to their daily life. And it is very interesting and useful to students. So it’s helpful to raise their learning interests and improve their reading skills. 学情分析 The students are in Grade 9, they have learned English for two years. They have developed the skills of listening and speaking to some extents. And they can speak a little English to express their own opinions. They are interested in learning English; and they have a strong thirst for knowledge. 学习目标 1. Knowledge objects: Recite the key words, phrases and sentences. 2. Ability objects: 1).To understand the main idea of the passage and learn to talk about the inventions. 2).Learn the target language and develop the ability of speaking and listening. 3. Moral objects 1). Promote the students’ passion for inventions. 2). Develop students’ creativity and expectation for the future. 重难点 1. Students have a great improvement in it. Most of them can talk about the inventions freely. But I still have something that needs to be improved next time. First, I should pay more attention to the pronunciation of several words when students make some mistakes in them. Second, I should give students more space and time to show themselves, especially in the last part, because they did a really good job.
