Now many students don’t do housework at home. They always say that they are too busy with their study. But in my opinion, we students should do housework. That’s because doing housework can make us independent. Now let me share my opinions with you.
I often do housework at home. For example, I usually do the dishes after dinner. And I always sweep the floor and take out the rubbish. When I see the tidy rooms, I feel proud of myself. And I can show my love for my family by doing housework, so I think doing housework is meaningful. Meanwhile, I can get a lot from doing housework. It can not only develop my independence but also teach me how to take care of myself.
All in all, I think doing housework makes me independent and relaxed. It’s also our duty to keep the house clean and tidy.

第二节:听下面两段材料,包括一篇独白和一段对话,每段材料后有几道小题。请根据材料的内容,从题目所给的三个选项中选出问题的正确答案。每段材料读两遍。
听第1 段材料,回答第11、12 小题。
Alan and Ann are good friends. But they are different. Alan studies hard and often gets good grades at school. When he is at home, he often reads books. He hardly ever helps out with chores. He thinks doing chores is a waste of time. Ann has great fun doing chores. Her favorite chore is cleaning the room. Though she is tired after cleaning it, she feels very happy. She cleans her room almost every day, so her room always looks clean and tidy.
听第2 段材料,回答第13 至15 小题。
W: Mike, could you please help me do something?
M: No problem. What do you want me to do, Mom?
W: Could you go to the supermarket and buy some sugar for me?
M: Of course. It’s a piece of cake. I’ll do it right away. How many bags of sugar do you need?
W: Um..., let me think. Maybe two bags will be enough.
M: Mom, shall we go to the movies after dinner?
W: But you need to do your homework.
M: Today is Friday. I think I can finish it tomorrow.
W: Oh, sorry. I forget it. OK, we can go to the movies after dinner.
M: Great! I’m going to the shop now, Mom.
II. 听填信息
本题你将听到一段独白,读两遍。请根据独白内容,用所听到的信息完成下列各题。( 每空不超过三个单词。)
Hi, I’m Tom. I have many rules at home. First, I have to study hard at school. My parents want me to do my homework carefully. Second, I must go home after school at once. I have to go to bed by 10 p. m. on school nights. Third, I must be tidy. I must help do the housework at weekends. I have to wash my own clothes and clean my room. After meals my mother asks me to do the dishes. My parents always say, “It’s important for children to learn how to do chores and help their parents. It’s not enough to just get good grades at school.” I agree with them. I think children shouldn’t depend on their parents too much.
