Yours,
Anna
Dear Anna,
I’m sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. It’s not easy to be a daughter. And it’s not easy to be a mother, either.
It’s common for kids to have problems when they are talking with their parents. But remember, she nags you because she cares about you very much. Talking is a way to show her love to you. So kids should also learn to understand and care about parents.
In my opinion, it’s useful to share school life with her. In this process, you talk and she listens. If possible, do some housework with your mother. Then you can know each other better and have something common to talk about.
Yours,
Jason

Knowing how to communicate well needs very personal attention between you and the other person. We should face it. Is there a better way to learn how to communicate successfully? Yes, there is. Please follow the basic steps below.
Relax and breathe.
Whether it’s a business meeting or a first date, the first thing you must do in order to communicate is to relax.
When you relax, you are in control. You control your reactions (反应) and your reactions do not control you. Breathing is central to relaxation. Take a few deep breaths and your body will begin to be more relaxed. This will help use what you have already known about how to communicate well.
Think and you will be prepared.
Have you heard the old saying, “Think before you speak” ? Well, it rings true. By thinking ahead about how the conversation might flow, you will be better prepared, more relaxed and more confident.
Follow the flow of the conversation.
If you are uncomfortable, being silent will only make it worse and make the other person uncomfortable as well. So when all else fails, you should follow through with small talk until a common topic appears.
A good way to keep a conversation going is to ask the other person questions. People love to talk about themselves and if you do this, they will keep the conversation going, thinking very highly of you. Learning good communication skills is not something out of reach. If you make an effort, you will succeed.

Most teenagers feel sad or afraid when their parents argue. They might think their parents don’t love each other anymore. In fact, occasional (偶尔的) arguments are a sign of a healthy relationship.
It is normal for parents to disagree or ▲ sometimes. They might disagree about important things like jobs and family decisions. They might even disagree about little things that don’t seem important at all—like what’s for dinner. These arguments often end quickly. Parents may say sorry and make up, and the family returns to normal.
One important thing for teenagers: If you ever see the arguments between your parents turn violent (暴力的), don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult you trust. They will know what to do.
However, it can be stressful or even horrible when your parents argue. Sometimes you might find it hard to sleep or go to school. If you really feel bad about this, talk to your parents about it. Don’t talk to them while they are arguing. It’s the best time to talk to them after an argument and try to talk to them together. Demonstrate(说明) how their fighting makes you feel.

I know my parents love me and want me to have a good future. But should I spend all the time on my study? There are many other things for me to learn and I want to know more about the outside world, too.
As students, it’s our duty to study. But that’s not the only thing for us to do.

第二节:听下面两段材料,包括一篇独白和一段对话,每段材料后有几道小题。请根据材料的内容,从题目所给的三个选项中选出问题的正确答案。每段材料读两遍。
听第1 段材料,回答第11、12 小题。
I’m Nancy. I love my parents. And they love me, too. But sometimes their love gives me much pressure. I am already 15. In the eyes of my parents, however, I’m still a baby. They never allow me to hang out with my friends. They think that I may learn something bad. Every Sunday, they go to the football center with me, although it is only five minutes’ walk from my home. Once I saw my mother reading my diary. I was angry, but she didn’t think it was a big deal. I talked about my problems with my best friend, but I learned she had the same problems.
听第2 段材料,回答第13 至15 小题。
M: It’s Saturday today. You should feel happy.
W: But, Tony, I’m really tired.
M: What’s the matter, Sue?
W: I did too much homework till 11:00.
M: When did you start to do it?
W: At 8:00.
M: Oh, the time is long enough. Maybe you should learn to relax.
W: But my parents want me to study all day.
M: You could tell your parents about your feeling.
W: But they expect me to get good grades.
M: You should tell them that studying for a long time has nothing to do with studying well.
W: OK. I will have a talk with them.
II. 听填信息
本题你将听到一段独白,读两遍。请根据独白内容,用所听到的信息完成下列各题。(每空不超过三个单词。)
My name is Mary and I need some help.
Last night, I argued with my best friend Cathy. You know, she took my Chinese book without asking and didn’t return it to me so I couldn’t do my homework. I was so angry with her. I thought we always got on well, so I didn’t want to have an argument with her. Then I asked her for my Chinese book and she was angry and annoyed.
At last, we went home unhappily. I’m really sorry about it. I think I could write her a letter or call her up to say sorry. Could you please give me some advice?
