Review: let Ss say some places to make purchase, such as department store, convenience store, bookstore, supermarket, shopping mall, etc. 2. Then ask Ss which place they often go to and shop for food or something. And tell us why. 3. Indicate our teaching aim: Today we will learn to make purchases. 回顾购物场所名称的表达，并让学生自己来描述经常去的购物场所，讲出原因，让大家有效地进入今天的学习。 Step Two Presentation 教学活动(25mins) 设计意图 1. Show some pictures of receipts on PPT. And ask Ss the meaning of subtotal, tax, total. After this, T helps Ss understand them. Then show another receipt and ask Ss to fill in. 2. Questions: $63.67(clothes)+$23.71(dictionary)+$8.85(food)=___. Ask Ss to calculate the total price, Ss can have a competition to see who makes it quicker. By the way, teach Ss how to express price in English. For example：63.67---sixty-three point sixty-seven 3. PPT display: Display different pictures of bills and coins. Let Ss clearly understand the expressions of them. 4. Finish textbook P26 Read the check. And answer questions: how much is the check for? Who is the check for? What is the check for? 帮助学生快速地掌握本课时的相关词汇，能熟练掌握并表达价格，并认识下国外的货币。 Step Three Preparation 教学活动(20mins) 设计意图 1. Simple present The usage of “shop” Subject Verb Example sentence I, you, we , they shop 1. I shop for shoes at a department store. 2. We shop for food at a supermarket. 3. They shop for books at a bookstore. He, she, it shops 1. He shops for shoes at a shoe store. 2. She shops for dresses at a clothing store. 2.Let Ss make sentences according to their shopping habits, and find out where they usually shop. 学习和掌握一般现在时动词的变化，并能熟练地运用。 Step Four Practice 教学活动(25mins) 设计意图 1. Practice asking about prices A: Excuse me, how much is/are the ....? B: $99.99. A: Thank you. Then let Ss practice by themselves. 2.
