This lesson is from Unit5 Humans and Nature.The main purpose of this article is to describe the story of Scott Expedition team members participating in the Antarctic expedition, to show his spirit of challenging himself and not giving up easily in the face of natural disasters. Guide students to think about the relationship between man and nature, and inspire students to think about the meaning of success from many aspects.
学情分析
The students are eager to learn something they don’t know and willing to participate in the class activities. Also, they are generally interested in the expedition but most of them are not familiar with English story about human and nature. Lastly, many students have trouble in or are not confident about expressing their opinions.

Students will have a further understanding of the passage and know the general idea of the text and some key details of the story.

Students will understand the meaning of success from many aspects.
