(二)Presentation
1. Present the new words
Show the pictures and explain the meanings of the new words: advice, opposite, fact, wish.
Let the students read the words after the teacher and practice the pronunciations.
2. Text learning
Play the recording of the text and let the students listen carefully.
Ask the students to read the text silently and answer the following questions:
How do Danny and Jenny use the advice diamonds?
What colours does Danny's advice diamond have?
What number does Jenny choose first?
How many times does Jenny choose? What does the advice diamond say each time?
Check the answers with the students and explain the difficult points in the text.
(三)Practice
1. Fill in the blanks
Show the sentences on the PPT and let the students fill in the blanks with the words in this lesson. The first letter is given.

2. Complete the dialogue
Show the dialogue on the PPT and let the students complete it with the sentences in the box.

A: It's a game. I'll show you how to make one._
B: Oh. It really looks like a diamond.

B: Can we play with it now?
A: Sure! Choose a colour first. Then choose a number. I will open and close it each time.
B: I would like to choose yellow and the number ten.

Check the answers and ask some pairs of students to act out the dialogue.
(四)Production
1. Group work
Divide the students into groups of four. Ask them to brainstorm some ideas for their advice diamonds and write as much advice as they can.
Give some examples: Always do your homework carefully. Go to bed and get up early. Be nice to your classmates and teachers. Help your parents with the housework.
2. Presentation
Ask some groups to present their advice diamonds and share their advice with the class.
(五)Summary and Homework
1. Summary
Summarize the key points of this lesson, including the new words, sentence patterns and the game of advice diamond.
2. Homework
Ask the students to make an advice diamond at home and write at least five pieces of advice on it.
Ask the students to read the text again and try to retell the story to their parents.
