On the afternoon of March 23, 2022, Chinese astronauts on board China’s Tiangong space station gave a science lesson 400 kilometers above Earth. It was a great success. Do you still remember the first space lesson hosted by Wang Yaping in 2013? Helped by the other two astronauts, she gave the lesson to more than 60 million school children all over the country.
While watching the science lesson from the Tiangong-1 on the morning of June 20, 2013, Wang Lutian, a 10-year-old disabled student at a special school in downtown Beijing, was drawing a colorful rocket with crayons in his classroom. “Moon…stars…a rocket to the sky,” Wang explained his work in a cheerful voice. At that time, he and more than 100 other disabled students were enjoying the lesson given by Wang Yaping, who talked about movements in micro-gravity (微重力) environments. “Zero gravity!” Qian Shaohong, another student at the school, shouted when he saw astronaut Nie Haisheng making a show of crossing his legs in mid-air. “Scientific knowledge has helped open a window for the children to know about the world,” said Zhang Yini, a teacher at the school.
The lesson also increased interest in space science among teenagers living on the “roof (屋脊) of the world”. “I was most interested in the presentation of the ‘water ball’ in a gravity-free environment. It’s really amazing,” said Rigzin Jigme Doje, a high school student in Lhasa, Xizang. Describing himself as a lover of physics, Doje said the lesson helped him stay true to his dream of becoming a physicist.

Bicycles have long been used for transportation in China. But recently, cycling has become popular because of the result of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic has made cycling more popular as officials closed some gymnasiums or places for exercise.
Linda Mo could not exercise indoors in May because of the pandemic. So, she started cycling and soon loved the sport. "I realized a racing bicycle was quite different than a regular bike," she said, adding, “It's very fast and exciting."
For cyclist Yang Lan, the sport also provides an escape from the daily difficulties of life. “With the pandemic, it seems to be the only way for us to run away from the terrible city life.” she said.
Naturally, the growth in cycling has increased the demand for bicycles. Beijing stores' sales rose 20 to 30 percent from March to June, compared to the same period last year. Zhou Fuyuan, the founder of Magic Cycling, said China's bicycle market was a $12 to $15 billion industry in 2021. Research and Markets predict that the sales could reach $16.5 billion by 2026.
Because of increasing demand and worldwide supply chain problems, people must wait weeks or months to get one. For every Specialized bicycle sold in Beijing at least 10 customers are waiting for their bicycles to arrive, Joanna Lei chose to pay more for bicycle available. She said the money was better spent than on a luxury bag. "What you are investing in is your own body and a very good habit," she said. Lei added, "I think it is more valuable than clothes that you wear or handbags that you use.”
People will have more choices for sports and entertainment when the pandemic is over. But Feng says he expects cycling to remain popular because of China's growing health concerns and awareness of environmental protection.
“Such a lifestyle is probably healthier and is more beneficial to society," Yang said. She added, "I think people now have a good sense of environmental protection and hope to do good for society.”
36.Why have bicycles become popular recently?

B. Because people want to take exercise by riding bike.
C. Because of the heavy traffic.
D. Because it's much cheaper to buy a bike than a car.
37.Which of the following is NOT the reason why cycling has become popular in China?
A. Because cycling gives people an escape from the daily difficulties of life.
B. Because officials closed some places for exercise during the pandemic.
C. Because cycling is more valuable than a luxury bag.
D. Because people's health concerns have increased.
38.What does the underlined "it" in Paragraph 6 refer to?
A. The environment.
B.Cycling.
C.A good habit.
D.A bicycle.
39. Why does the writer list lots of numbers in the passage?
