as...as的用法
as...as意为"和……一样",表示同级的比较。使用时要注意第一个as为副词,第二个as为连词。其基本结构为:as+ adj./ adv. +as。例如:
(1)This film is as interesting as that one.这部电影和那部电影一样有趣。
(2)Your pen writes as smoothly as mine.你的钢笔书写起来和我的一样流畅。
其否定式为not as/so +adj./ adv. +as。例如:
This dictionary is not as/so useful as you think.这本字典不如你想象的那样有用。
若有修饰成分,如twice, three times, half, a quarter等,则须置于第一个as之前。例如:
Your bag is twice as expensive as mine.你的袋子比我的贵一倍。

(1)as...as possible “尽可能...”

(2)as...as usual/before “和往常一样”
She looks as pretty as before.她看起来和以前一样漂亮。
(3)as long as... (引导条件状语从句) “长达......之久”
It took us as long as three years to carry out the plan.我们花了长达三年的时间才完成这项计划。

(4)as far as “和......一样远”,“直到.....”
He walked as far as the railway station yesterday evening.昨天傍晚,他一直散步到火车站。
(5)as well as “和.....一样好”
She cooks as well as her mother does.她烧菜烧得跟她母亲一样好。
(6)当as…as与表示重量、数量、时间、距离、价格等的计量名词连用时。往往并不表示比较。而是构成一个形容词组,意为“重达……,多达……,高达……”等。

1) such+a(an)+adj.+单数可数名词+that…clause
He is such a clever boy that everybody likes him.
He was such an honest man that he was praised by the teacher.
他非常诚实,因而受到了老师的表扬。
2)such+adj.+复数可数名词+that…clause
They are such interesting novels that I want to read them once again.
这些小说非常有趣,我想再读一遍。
3)such+adj.+不可数名词+that…clause
He has made such great progress that the teachers are pleased with him.

so…that
1.so+形容词或副词+that+句子 ...引导结果状语从句,意思是“如此…..以至于”
2. so that可以引导目的状语从句和结果状语从句,意思是“以便”,从句中常使用can /could /may /might /will /would /should等情态动词等;引导结果状语从句时,从句中一般不用can和may等词,在so that前可以用逗号,意思是“因此;所以”
3.So that的句型转换:so that引导目的状语从句的时候可以转换为in order that,意思还是“以便”,后面加一个句子,同时也可转换为so as to do sth.或in order to do sth.的句型。要注意,in order that可以放在句首,但是so that不能。

1)so…that的句型转换可以用too….to do sth. 来代替,但所表达的意思是“太….而不能’’The boy is so short that he can’t reach the apple.
=The boy is too short to reach the apple.
试转换:He is so young that he can’t go to school.
2)so…that 的句型还可以用not ….enough to do sth. 来代替,意思是“做某事不够….”,注意中间放的形容词一般是so…that句型中形容词的反义词。
The boy is so short that he can’t reach the apple.
=The boy is not tall enough to reach the apple.
试转换:He is so young that he can’t go to school.
