The Spring Festival My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. It is an important holiday in China. It is always in January or February. Usually, people clean their homes and put up the Spring Festival couplets beforehand. On the Chinese New Year’s Eve, families get together and enjoy a big dinner. We prepare some dishes with special meanings, like jiaozi and niangao. Then people like to watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV. During the holiday, people visit relatives and friends and send each other good wishes. Elders often give kids red packets to wish them good luck. The Spring Festival lasts till the Lantern Festival.
