Why was Yu Gong trying to move the mountains? Because they were so big that it took a long time to walk to the other side. Who is the Monkey King? He is the main character in Journey to the West. What can't the Monkey King do? He cannot turn himself into a person unless he can hide his tail. 2. 引导学生分析 unless, as soon as 和 so...that 引导的状语从句的结构和用法，通过例句进行讲解： Unless 表示“除非，如果不”，引导条件状语从句，主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时。例如：Unless you study hard, you will fail the exam. As soon as 表示“一......就......”，引导时间状语从句，主句用一般将来时或一般过去时，从句用一般现在时或一般过去时。例如：As soon as I arrive home, I will call you. So...that 表示“如此......以至于......”，引导结果状语从句，so 后接形容词或副词，that 后接句子。例如：He is so tired that he can't walk any more. 3. 让学生仿照例句进行造句，加深对语法的理解和运用。 （三）语法练习（10 分钟） 1. 完成 4a 的练习。教师先让学生独立完成填空，然后请学生回答，全班一起校对答案。 When her father died, the stepsisters made her do all the chores.
