Last Sunday, Jimmy's grandma invited him to her pottery studio(陶艺工作室).

excited. Because Grandma didn't give her other grandsons such an invitation.
As soon as Jimmy stepped into the studio, he began to look forward to putting his hands

George de Mestral was an engineer. One day in the 194os, he was walking his dog in a
forest. Lots of burrs (带刺的小果实) stuck to his trousers and he found it hard to get them
off.
What made the burrs stick so well? When George got home, he looked at them carefully

"Maybe I can make a new fastener (紧固件) with tiny hooks."
George decided to weave(编织) tiny hooks on one piece of cloth. By pressing the two
pieces together, they would stick to each other. However, it was very hard to make these tiny
hooks. They had to be strong enough to stick to each other. They also needed to be practical
so that the user could pull on them to get them off the hooks.
George used nylon fibers(尼龙纤维) to make the hooks. After years of hard work, he
was able to weave hundreds of tiny hooks onto small pieces of cloth. He set up the Velcro
Company in 1952 for making these fasteners.
In the 196os, Americans started to use these fasteners on their spaceships. The fasteners

A few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to go to the Chocolate Festival in the south of
France, known as the Feria du Chocolate in Beziers! I've never been to a food festival before,
so it was a new experience for me. It was a fantastic time-although I have never eaten so
much chocolate in a day!
There were stalls(摊位) selling boxes of chocolates, sweets, jams and so on. All the
stall owners were very friendly, explaining their ways of making chocolate, showing us
photos of their factories, and, of course, letting us try their products! My friend bought some
great chocolate cups-you can drink, and you can eat the chocolate up!
We then went to a class where we learnt how to make big chocolate with dried fruit!1
was a little nervous before the class, as there were only 12 students in a class, and I wasn't
sure if my French would be good enough to understand everything! Luckily, everyone was
very friendly -the lady next to me was making notes of everything we did, so she explained
the words I didn't understand. In the end, the class stayed in the room and talked about how
much we were enjoying the day of eating lots of chocolate! It tasted delicious, and we all got
to take some home! I was planning on saving it for my family-but unluckily it was too
delicious, so I've already eaten it all!

One Possible Version:
The Invention of the Smartwatch
The smartwatch is seen as one of the most important new devices in recent years. First
appearing in the early 2olos, the first smartwatches could do simple things like showing the
time and giving alerts. Today, they have become strong tools with advanced features like
tracking health, helping with directions, and even allowing payments. In the future, I think
smartwatches will become an even bigger part of our lives, possibly with abilities like
checking health instantly and providing virtual reality experiences. They will keep changing
how we use technology and manage our daily tasks
