VI. Teaching Reflection
In this lesson, I aimed to help students improve their language expression ability through describing their favorite childhood things. The use of pictures in the lead-in effectively aroused students' interest and led them to think about their own childhood memories. The 3a and 3b activities allowed students to practice their writing skills and think deeply about the reasons why their favorite things are special. The self-check part was a good way to review the use of “for” and “since”. However, some students still had difficulties in using these two words correctly. In the future, I need to provide more examples and exercises to help them master this grammar point. Also, I should encourage more students to participate in class discussions and presentations to enhance their confidence and language skills.
