Dear Aunt Aggie,
I’m having a problem with my classmate, Rena. A week ago I wrote an email to another classmate, Beth. I said some things about Rena that perhaps weren’t very nice in it. Unluckily, when Beth was writing back to me, she accidentally forwarded (无意间转发) the message to Rena! Now Rena is really angry with me and doesn’t talk to me. And Beth is unhappy, either. She has said sorry to me a hundred times already, but the harm is done. I feel bad, because I would never have said those things to Rena. How do I get her to forgive me?

Dear Joy,
This problem is more common than you might think! Sometimes the e-mail is very dangerous, because you don’t know where your message can end up! First of all, you should say sorry to Rena right away. If you say sorry to her, she may not be angry with you any more, and she may talk to you again. It may take time for her to be able to forgive you, but that’s up to her. Then, do something nice to show that you’re truly sorry. It’s usually helpful if someone just does something nice without saying anything. Good luck!
Aggie

Today taking a photo is easier than ever. There are cameras put into our phones, computers, iPads... The way we share photos has also changed. There was a time when you would print your photos and put them into photo albums, but because of technology, all this has changed.
Not only do we have what seems like an endless amount of space to store (储存) photos on our devices (设备), but we also have the Internet, especially social media (社交媒体). Social networks like Facebook allow us to post our pictures and albums to share with friends and family.
While you think this easy ability to store, share and enjoy photos is fantastic, it could also be said that photos have lost some of their meanings. I have over 1,000 pictures on my smartphone and several thousand stored on my computer. I also love posting my pictures on Facebook. Sometimes, however, I try to ask myself, “Will I really want to look back at these pictures?” Probably not!
Even though sometimes I still take meaningless pictures, a couple of years ago I decided to find a way to make my photos more meaningful. How did I do this? Disposable (一次性的) cameras! With only a few pictures you can take, you really need to think about the photos you’re taking. It is kind of exciting that you can’t see the photos in a straight way. And finally, it’s so much fun to get the pictures developed and look through them again. That’s why I’ll continue using disposable cameras. It’s a great way to make your photos more meaningful.

A. To use social media.

A. Because he is too busy to enjoy them.
B. Because too many of them have become meaningless.
C. Because none of them were taken by a disposable camera.
D. Because they aren’t beautiful enough for the writer to enjoy.
( )7. What does the underlined word “It” refer to?
A. Thinking about the photos you are taking.
B. Developing the pictures you have taken.
C. Not being able to see the pictures you have taken in a straight way.
D. Looking through the pictures you have taken.
( )8. What does the writer mainly want to tell us through the passage?
A. Technology makes our lives easier and more colorful.
