You can come to my house in the afternoon. We can put up decorations together. It’ll be fun. Please let me know if you can make it.
Cheers,

When we come across a word we don’t know, we can keep reading and guess its meaning. For example, if we don’t know the word “envelope” in “a red envelope”, we may recognize it as a noun because it follows the adjective “red”. The next sentence tells us that there is money in it. From this, we can guess what envelope means!
Subskill: Guessing unknown words
The prefix im- means “not”. It is usually used to create adjectives that have a negative or opposite meaning to the base word, e.g. impossible.

We’re thinking of you this time of year,
Wishing you happiness, joy, and cheer.
May all your days be warm and bright,
And your nights get better by holiday light.
Enjoy your delicious holiday food,
As parties and gifts create holiday moods.
Favourite people play an important part,
While beautiful songs warm your heart.

The Double Ninth Festival
Good morning, everyone! I’m Mike. Welcome back to Shenzhen Moments. After a busy week, Saturday has finally arrived. And today let’s celebrate a traditional Chinese festival known as Double-Ninth Day, or the Chongyang Festival.
My friend from China told me what the name means. In Chinese, “nine” sounds much like “long”. According to an ancient Chinese book, The Book of Changes, nine is seen as yang energy. “Chong” means “double” in Chinese. The ninth day of the ninth lunar month is when two yang numbers meet, so the name “Chongyang Festival” was born.
The festival falls in autumn around harvest time. It’s a great time to celebrate the harvest and to enjoy the cool weather with some outdoor activities. Many people go hiking or mountain climbing, and enjoy the autumn scenery before winter arrives.
Script
A good activity in Shenzhen is to climb Lianhua Mountain in the Futian district. The mountain park has beautiful gardens and many outdoor activities, like flying kites and martial arts.

Meet Mickela, from the USA. She’s just landed in Italy and is heading to her family’s hometown of Minturno. Before doing anything else, she visits her grandmother, Nonna Pina. They love cooking together.
Mickela is also here to attend the annual Wheat Harvest Festival. It’s a chance for the whole town to celebrate with processions and floats. The highlight, however, is the traditional dance, which takes place on the final day of the festival.
Festival day has arrived and Mickela wears traditional clothing for the dance. But, is she ready?
