Module 5 Unit 1 Can you run fast?

一、教材分析
本单元主题Can you run fast?属于“人与社会”范畴,涉及“社会服务与人际沟通中的个人能力的沟通与表达”。使用情态动词can表达自己并询问他人是否会做某事及回答。通过对话学习日常表示能力的词汇can,can't, sky ,run , fast , winner , high ,far,afraid , run fast , jump high, jump far,ride fast.及句型-Can you ...?-Yes, I can.-No, I can't. I’m afraid I can’t. I'm the winner.的表达。引导学生关注自己身边人会的技能,培养爱运动、爱生活,积极发扬自己的优点,成为自己的赢家和学习英语的热情,树立学好英语的信心。
二、学情分析
四年级的孩子生性活泼好动,模仿能力强,对周围的事物充满了好奇,有一定的词汇和句型的积累。因此,我会在课堂上利用图片为孩子们提供会话情景,通过听、说、读、唱、演等活动的方式激发学生的兴趣,把学生吸引到课堂中来。注重学生的听说能力,强化交际对话训练。培养学生良好的学习习惯,逐步形成有效的学习方法,发展自主学习的能力。
三、教学目标
1、学生能够理解并正确使用情态动词“can”表达能力。
2、学生能够听说、认读词汇:run,fast,high,far,afraid,
winner及句型“Can you...?”来询问他人能力并用“Yes,I can./No,I can’t.”回答。
3、学生可以通过听说练习来提高语言的综合应用能力。
4、学生可以通过小组活动提高他们的合作和沟通技巧。
四、教学重难点
1、重点:
掌握词汇can, can't, sky, run,fast, winner,high, far, afraid, run fast,jump high ,jump far ,ride fast.和句型-Can you...?-Yes,I can.-No, I can't.
2、难点:
① afraid及句子I’m afraid I can’t.的正确发音。
② 能够根据实际情况灵活运用句型:-Can you...?-Yes, I can.-No, I can't.进行交流。

6、 教学过程
Step 1 Greetings&Warming up.
T:Hello,boys and girls.How are you today?
Ss: Hello,Ms Zhu.I'm fine.Thank you.
T:Let's sing a song “Are you doing it too?”Please sing and do the actions with me.
Step 2 Lead in:Activity 1
1、T:Let's watch a video,then answer the questions.
①What are the kids doing?(They're looking at the birds.)
②What are the birds doing?(They're flying in the sky.)
教授新词sky,呈现by对比学习。
2、T:Yeah,the birds can fly so fast and so high!
教学新词fast和high.(分别呈现past和hi)
3、Listen and chant.
4、T:The birds can fly so fast and so high.
Can you fly?(摇头并引导学生回答“No,I can’t.”)
Can you fly a kite?(通过动作帮助学生理解run的意思)。
(点头并引导学生回答“Yes I can.”。)
5、 课件逐一呈现运动的图片并学习词汇run fast/jump high/jump far/ride fast以及句型They/He/She can...
并适时的用Can you run fast/jump high/jump far/ride fast?加以询问,让学生逐步学会使用Yes,I can./No, I can’t.作答。
(可以老师问单个学生,也可以全班询问,男、女生问等方式进行。)
Step 3 Presentation&learn:
1、T:Today we are going to study Module 5 Unit 1 Can you run fast?(呈现课题并教读)
2、Look and answer“What can they do?”They can _____ .
(呈现Sam,Lingling, Amy, Daming 比赛的照片)
3、Watch and answer.
逐一呈现Sam,Amy,Daming 和Lingling四场比赛的动画,完成相关的练习,并教授新词winner/afraid及句型I’m afraid I can’t.
4、 Read and circle the sentence“Can you...?”.
5、 Then listen,point and read .
Step 4 Practice:
1、 What can Tortoise do ?
① Watch a video and answer the questions.
② Role play:
Ss: Tortoise, Tortoise, can you fly?
S1(扮演Tortoise):No,I can’t.No,I can’t.I can’t fly.
③Tell the Ss:
Develop one’s own advantages.Everyone can be the winner!
2、 T:We’re going to have a sport day.
① Work in groups,ask and answer,then complete the table.

B/C/D:Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
② Let’s write.Talk about yourself and your friends.
Step 5 Summary:
Read the words and sentences we learned today.
Step 6 Extension.
呈现北京奥运会最难忘瞬间的视频。
情感升华:Love life!Love sports!It's good for your healthy!
Step 7 Homework:
1、 Listen and read the dialogue.
2、 Practise in pairs.(和同伴看28页活动四的图进行对话练习。)
3、 Ask your family about abilities.
