课文标题 Module 2 My home town and my country 单元名称 Unit 1 It’s taller than many other buildings. 教材版本 外研社 授课年级 八年级上册 一、教学内容分析： 1. 本课是一节以“比较说明不同的地方”为话题的听说对话课，教材文本以Daming 和 Tony 谈论并比较深圳和香港两个城市导入话题，学习形容词的比较级（差别比较和同级比较），围绕地理位置、人口规模、地标性建筑等围度有逻辑地进行城市间的比较，同时也有深圳自身发展变化的对比。通过对话的学习，学生能够合理地运用谈论地点的语言和逻辑顺序进行介绍说明一个城市，如：自己的家乡等。 二、教学目标： 1. 语言知识目标 (1) 语音：体会重音在在句子中所表达的情感和意义。 (2) 词汇：学会使用hometown, population, busy, large, wide等 (3) 语法：在实际运用中感知、体会形容词比较级的语言形式，如： It’s newer than… It will become as busy as… It’s getting bigger and busier. It’s much wider and cleaner It’s taller than many other buildings in China. What’s the population of …? …has a population of… The population is larger than that of… …is larger in population than … (4) 功能：在交往中恰当地理解和运用比较级的“比较人、物体、事物等”的功能。 2. 语言技能目标 (1) 能通过教师设置的介绍自己家乡的情境运用有关词汇和功能句进行口头交际(To develop speaking fluency on the topic of introducing an area.) (2) 能通过听获取信息完成任务(To develop ss’ skill of listening for gist and detail, and retell the dialogue) (3) 能够谈论一个城市（如，家乡） 3. 学习策略目标 (1) 能通过图片、标题等预测主旨大意 (2) 通过听获知对话主旨大意和细节信息的策略。 4.情感态度：注意对方的语调中蕴含的情感；培养对自己家乡的热爱。 5. 文化意识目标 了解城市的发展变迁； 了解自己的家乡概况。 三、教学重点和难点： 1.教学重点： 通过设置的情境学习有关介绍城市的词汇和核心句型；捕捉听力对话中的主旨大意和细节信息，能够说明介绍深圳。 2.教学难点： 用运用所学的目标词汇、句型和框架结构介绍一个城市（家乡等）。 四、教学过程： Stage1 1.激活话题背景，构建话题语境Establish situation: 教师由“让学生了解自己（自己现在跟过去的对比，自己的家乡介绍）”导入话题。 You’re going to spend this class with me, so do you want to know more about me? … 【设计意图】由“了解老师”这一贴近实际的话题导入，引起学生的兴趣，引出hometown主题。通过标题、图片构建学习”谈论城市”这一话题的必要词汇。 2.话题词汇的构建Elicit the vocabulary: 教师提出问题：〔思考性问题〕What’s different compared with the past? To establish and clarify difficult vocabulary necessary to complete the task Stage2 1.预测性问题〔为听对话做背景铺垫〕 ①铺垫和预测Prediction: Did Daming enjoy his visit to Shenzhen last weekend? What is he talking about Shenzhen with Tony? ②听中任务Set the task: Ss are to listen to see if their predictions were right. Try to understand the conversation by answering the questions about Shenzhen. 2. 听对话Activity2 on P10 〔在语境中感知体会谈论城市这一话题〕 Set the task. Listen for the gist and details.(听主旨大意和细节) 【设计意图】 To anticipate the text content. To get the background information for the listening of the dialogue. To develop the ss’ skills of listening for gist and detail. 3. 听后细节分析 教师提出思考性问题How does the speaker stress the underline words? What do the two boys think of the city Shenzhen? 经过模仿分析讨论，促使学生体悟文本中所蕴涵的情感。 【设计意图】 通过听、模仿这样的细节分析，学生会体会到句子中蕴含的情感信息：体会交流中传达主要信息的词汇的重音问题，以及Daming和Tony对深圳这个新城市的赞美和向往，学生在学习英文的同时促进自我的成长，体现语言课的人文性。 4. 借助图表转述对话内容。 Now you know something about Shenzhen, can you retell it in your own words? 【设计意图】 搭建复述的框架，使学生进一步内化“谈论城市”这一话题的相关词汇、语句和情境。搭建支架、层层铺垫，以此为post-task部分做足输出（即学生自己做一个介绍城市的对话）的准备。 Stage3 1.小结谈论一个城市的Mind-map. 2.教师设置情境，铺垫任务背景，激发会话： 教师展示ppt引出任务，介绍说明自己的家乡或其他任一个城市，引导学生介绍的必要内容和说明的典型逻辑。 3.教师给予学生任务指导： Instruct ss to role-play being a reporter or friends in pairs, or in groups, or by yourself. Use the vocabulary and expressions on the board as a basis for role playing 【设计意图】通过完成“谈论城市”这一任务来练习、内化、输出所学的新语言（词汇和句型）。 To develop speaking fluency on the topic of hometown. 4.课后作业 必做：You must do: A: Imitate the dialogue in Activity2 after the recording.
