· he section is divided into two parts. The first part is to activate the students' background knowledge and language knowledge about the nature of plants and animals through science magazine and a video, and to introduce new knowledge, for the unit follow-up topics and learning activities to do the preparation and warm-up. The second part is the main text of the unit, which is a narrative text. It introduces the famous Discovery Journey of Darwin, a famous biological scientist, with the clues of time and route, darwin did a lot of research and learned a lot about the evolution of organisms, and based on this trip, published the famous “Origin of species” later changed the world. In-reading activities inspire students to think deeply and explore the meaning of the theme through the induction of the main idea, the analysis of text types, the comprehension of details and the open-ended question-and-answer and to guide students to appreciate Darwin's discovery journey of great historical significance, to feel the difficulties and obstacles of Darwin's exploration of science and the pursuit of truth, but also to inspire students to follow his example, to learn from his courage and challenge, the scientific spirit and innovative spirit of daring to explore.

As to the students of senior 2 , most of them are about 17 years old. They show great interest in learning English , have acquired basic reading skills and would like to express themselves in the class, but their levels of English are different. So, during the teaching process, the teacher should design different tasks to meet different students' needs based on the New Curriculum Standard .
