Know yourself better though self–assessment and raise your awareness of career planning. 教学重难点 文本分析： Unit 5 Launching Your Career 本单元主题是人与自我，围绕“职业和职业规划”展开，通过不同题材和体裁的语篇引导学生了解职业规划中职业定位、目标选择、求职申请等相关内容，旨在帮助高中学生在填报高考志愿之前，对未来大学及职业目标能有更全面、更深入的思考和认识。本单元注重培养学生的自我认知能力，让他们了解职业规划的重要性，激发他们自我发展的动力，同时还强调学生应从社会发展的角度，考虑个人的职业规划和人生目标。 Opening Page主题图的寓意在于鼓励学生既要仰望星空，又要脚踏实地，通过每天的努力夯实通往美好未来的道路。 Reading and Thinking 板块的活动主题是“领先一步开启你的未来职业”，主题语境是人与自我主题下的职业选择和规划。这里的“领先”并不是与他人比较，而是鼓励学生自己尽早树立规划未来职业和人生道路的意识。该模块的阅读文本是一篇介绍职业能力倾向测验的说明文。标题“Working out What You Want to Do”点明了文本的写作意图。在内容上指出了学生应该尽早进行职业规划的必要性，提出了职业规划的实施建议，具体介绍了职业能力倾向测验的方法。此外，文本还强调了学生应该客观认识测验结果，并综合考虑各种因素，包括自己的教育背景和经历，这样才能更加客观和全面地给自己定位并确立目标，最后还强调了热情在职业选择中的重要性。 教学重点： 1. How would you interpret the picture? 2. What would you like to be in the future? Why? (T: I believe everybody wants to have a bright future. However, “the future depends on what you do today”. The quote is from Mahatma Gandhi.) 3. What does “launch “mean here? Underline the key words or topic sentences. 2. Pay attention to the linking words. Give your reasons. 3.
