How about you?你呢? 单元语法笔记 一、连词 ( and, but, because) 用来连接词与词、短语与短语以及句子与句子的虚词叫作连词。连词在句中不能单独作句子成分， 一般不重读。连词按照性质可分为两类： 并列连词和从属连词。本单元学了三个连词 and、 but、 because, 其中 and、 but属于并列连词, because属于从属连词。 并列连词是用来连接语法地位相同的单词、短语以及句子的连词。并列连词主要用来表示并列关系、转折关系、因果关系及选择关系。 1. and 意为“和； 与”， 可根据具体语境进行翻译， 也可不译， 起承上启下的作用。 She likes to listen to music and draw pictures.她喜欢听音乐和画画。 【拓展】 (1) 用作并列连词， 可以连接并列的单词、短语或句子。 Drive slowly and carefully.小心, 慢点开车。 Come here and you can have a good time.来这里, 你会玩得开心。 (2) (易错) 在否定句中要把 and变为 or。 I like apples and oranges.我喜欢苹果和橙子。 I don't like apples or oranges. 我不喜欢苹果和橙子。 2. but 意为“但是； 然而”， 用来引出相反意见或不同情况。连接两个并列的成分或句子时，语气较强， 在意义上构成明显的对比。与前一分句可用(可不用) 逗号， 与后一分句不用逗号。 The woman is old, but she looks very young. (与分句可用逗号分开) 这个女人年龄大了， 但她看起来非常年轻。 I had asked everyone but only two people came.(未用逗号分开) 我邀请了所有人， 但只有两个人来了。 【辨析: but, and 与 or】 but 表示转折的逻辑关系或两种情况的对比， 意为“但是； 然而” and 连接两个或几个并列的成分， 表示并列或顺承， 常用于肯定句中， 意为“和； 与”。 and 连接的并列成分作主语时， 谓语动词用复数形式 or 在否定句中， 连接并列成分用 or不用 and， 意为“也不”； or表示选择关系时， 常用于 选择疑问句中， 意为“或， 还是”Our room is small, but it's very tidy. 我们的房间小, 但是很整洁。 He can play the guitar and he can sing, too.他会弹吉他, 也会唱歌。 Are you coming or not? 你来还是不来? 【助记】 but“但是”表转折, and和 or表并列; 肯定句中用 and， 否定句中 or替换。 3. because 意为“因为”， 用来引导原因状语从句， 强调直接造成某种结果的理由和原因。多置于主句之后， 有时为了强调， 也可置于主句之前， 并用逗号与句子的其他成分隔开。 because 还可以用来回答由 why引导的特殊疑问句。 Because I am very busy, I can't go out with you. =I am very busy, so I can't go out with you. 因为我太忙， 所以我不能同你一起出去。 — Why are you late?你为什么迟到了? — Because I got up late.因为我起晚了。 【特别提醒】 在汉语中， 表示因果关系一般用“因为⋯⋯所以⋯⋯”， 但在英语中， because (因为)与 so (所以) 不能同时出现在一个句子中。 【小试牛刀】 一. 用所给连词填空， 可重复使用 but, and, because 1.
