Skimming: get the rough idea; Scanning: get the detail information;first read the questions and underline key words in the passage;then scan the passage and find the key words self-confidence prize appearance confuse well-known progress as long as be jealous of competition stick to 【Aim】Check if the students understand the skimming and scanning reading skills since they have learned them by watching the micro-course in advance. Ask the students read the main idea of each paragraph of excise 1 and guess what can it is about. While-reading. Finish excise 2 and tick all the activities that increase our confidence. Step 4: Summarize the key points and assign the homework (10 minutes) Summarize the key points with a mind map. Correct mistakes of reading comprehension questions on the notebooks. Sort our notes with a mind map. Learn the grammar points on the books and summarize the problems to ask the teacher.
