教学目标:
Guide the students to notice and yet to talk about modern ways of life in China.
Stress the causes which will lead to the topic.
Assist the students to gain brief understandings of the changes in lifestyles that have been made in recent years. Then start conversations on AI and smart-life in China, and possibly give advises or suggestions to foreigners living in China in a proper way.
教学重点:
The students are able to understand and read key words correctly.
The students can understand the dialogues about modern lifestyles and get key information.
The students are able to talk about their experiences with modern tools.
教学难点:
Many students barely notice the changes of ways of lives that happened around them.
Thus, sometimes they are poor at talking about modern lifestyles, giving suggestions and responding to them correctly.

Step 1:Getting Ready (5mintues)
1.The teacher introduces the lesson by asking questions of modern and traditional living ways for people in China.
2.The teacher introduces different lifestyles with illustrated pictures.
3.The teacher leads students to think talk more about:
1) What is your NEW way of life?
【Aim】Guide them to observe the differences and get a general idea. Help the students to learn new expressions. Discuss to realize the benefits of modern life.
Step 2: Listening (15 minutes)
Dialogue A
1.Read the questions (on the students’ text books)
2.Listen to the dialogue & decide true or false.
1) They are talking about a movie.
2) Li Mei lost her cell phone.
3) People use different ways to buy tickets nowadays.
4) It’s more convenient to buy a ticket at a theater.

4.Listen again and rearrange the sequence of the following steps
1. select the theater, data, timing and seat

Step 3: Speaking (20 minutes)
1.Ask the students to read aloud the dialogues again.
2.Making decisions for the class gather activity with the help of modern technology.

3) What’s the best route?
4) How to go there?
3.Giving and responding to suggestions

【Aim】The teacher reads and the students follow. Give a demonstration.Provide students with demo videos from 抖音or of快手 introducing Chinese modern lifestyles. The teacher reads or play the audio clip; the students follow.
Step 4: Summary & Homework (5 minutes)
Summarize the key points with a mind map and assign the homework.
1.Sharing ideas and experiences of Chinese modern ways of life with by shooting a short video.
2.Preview for next lesson.
【Aim】Guide the students to make a summary, prepare to do an after-class assignment.
