英语 九年级全册 人教版 原创新课堂 Section A (Grammar Focus－4c)　语法突破 ►定语从句的含义 在复合句中，修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫作定语从句。被修饰的名词或代词叫作先行词。从句放在所修饰的词(即先行词)之后，由关系代词或关系副词引导。 eg：A true friend is a person先行词 (who引导词 reaches your hand and定语从句 touches your heart.) ►定语从句的引导词 定语从句的引导词可分两类：关系代词that，which，who，whom(宾格)，whose(所有格)和关系副词where，when，why等。本单元我们主要学习关系代词引导的定语从句。 ►关系代词在定语从句中的用法 1．that既可指人也可指物，在句中作主语或宾语。 eg：He is a man that/who often helps others.他是一个经常帮助别人的人。(作主语) I like the songs that/which I can dance to.我喜欢可以随之跳舞的歌曲。(作宾语) 2．which指物，在句中作主语或宾语。 eg：She lives in a room which/that is big and bright.她居住在宽敞明亮的房间里。(作主语) The story which/that she told us was very interesting.她讲给我们听的故事很有趣。(作宾语) 3．who指人，在句中作主语或宾语。 eg：Here is the man who/that is the most handsome star in the film.这是电影中最帅的明星。(作主语) 4．whom指人，在句中只能作宾语。 eg：He isn't the man whom/who/that I talked to just now.他不是我刚才与之交谈的那个人。(作宾语) 5．whose既可指人也可指物，在句中作定语。 eg：I like the beautiful house whose walls are made of old glass bottles.我很喜欢这座美丽的房子，它的墙壁是用旧玻璃瓶做成的。(指物，作定语) Is there anyone in your class whose father is a doctor？在你们班上有谁的父亲是医生吗？(作定语) 【注意】①关系代词在句中作主语时，谓语动词的单复数应与先行词的单复数一致。 eg：Tom is one of the boys that/who are from the USA.汤姆是(众多)来自美国的男孩之一。 Tom is the only boy that/who is from the USA.汤姆是唯一的来自美国的男孩。 ②关系代词在从句中作宾语时，关系代词可省略。关系代词前有介词时，不能省略。 eg：I love music (that/which) I can sing along with.
