Release the pain in Spain
Feeling stressed? Then cry out! In the heart of Madrid, Spain, there is a crying
room. It has pink signs saying, “Enter and cry.” and “I too have anxiety (焦虑).” On
one side of the room, there are phones with a list of names, including mental (心理的)
health workers. Visitors can call to talk to them when they are feeling down. In Spain,
one in 10 teenagers has mental health problems. The crying room could be a way to
help them out.
Coleby comforts kids at school
Recently, we got a new member of our school—Coleby, a therapy dog (治疗犬).
Coleby is a friendly black dog with curly hair. He helps students emotionally (情感上
) and is a great stress helper!
Coleby comes to school to “work” every day. Students see him in the hallways
and are welcome to pet him. Usually Coleby is at the office. When students feel upset,
they usually go there for help. Coleby can play with them, giving them fun, comfort (
安慰) and love.
Mental health is very important to students’ success in school and beyond. It’s as
important as physical health or school work.

It's around 8:30 a.m. Some people are standing in front of a food bank in
Shanghai. They're waiting for the day's food to give out.
Every day, the food bank gives out different kinds of food. At some festivals like
the Dragon Boat Festival or the Mid-Autumn Festival, it gives out zongzi or

Here are just a few. You can pick what you really love to do.
Help kids learn and grow. Be a big brother or a big sister at an after-school care
center. You can help little kids to learn or play with them.
Give back during the holidays. Serve dinner to the homeless, volunteer at your
local old people's home, or give out toys to kids. Your local church and temple may
also need your help.
Help at a local animal shelter. Most shelters depend on volunteers to keep the
cats and dogs happy and well exercised. And when you're walking dogs, you get some
exercise, too.
Protect the environment. Take part in a local park clean-up day. Plant a tree in
the spring. Join a group to work together to protect your local river.
Help sick people. Lots of us are close to people who have a medical problem. It
can make you feel good to donate your time or money to help the people with an
illness. When you cheer them up, you also feel happy.
If you have more than one thing you love, find a way to do them all. With your
help, we'll certainly have a more beautiful world!

could do everything that she liked. But when it was six o'clock in the afternoon, she
felt hungry. "Oh, it's time to have ___▲___. Where can I get my food?" she said to
herself. Later she found some meat and vegetables in the fridge (冰箱), but she didn't
know how to cook them. At that time, she missed her parents very much. At last she
