Teaching material The topic of this unit is history and traditions. My lesson is the part of Reading and Thinking. The reading text is an expository article about the United Kingdom. Starting from the puzzle about the different names of the country,the text mainly talks about the long and complicated history of the UK as well as the relationship of the four countries.By studying this text, we’ll enable students to know the history and culture of the United Kingdom and develop the interest in the country. ( As we all know, reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has a great effect on output, such as speaking and writing.) (2) Understand the history of the UK and get to know the detailed information about the text .
