Russia:
New students give flowers to their teachers.
Like in China, schools start on Sep.1st in Russia. This day is known as the “Knowledge Day”. Students give flowers to their teachers to show respect. Girls wear white flowers on their hair. Ringing bell means the new school year has begun.
Indonesia:
Students play games and do team activities.
France:
Parents and students visit the school.
In France, the school year begins on the first Tuesday of September. Parents bring their kids to school. There’s no big opening ceremony. Students just meet new classmates or teachers.

Confucius was a great Chinese philosopher /fɪˈlɒsəfər/(哲学家).
This sentence is a famous saying from The Analects (论语).
