Module 10 Australia Part I 语法点拨 I. 定语从句（1）：that引导的定语从句 定语从句概念：修饰名词或代词的从句, 放在名词或代词的后面。 基本结构：先行词+关系词（包括关系代词和关系副词）+ 句子（定语从句） 关系代词: that（指人、指物通用）, which（指物）, who（指人）, whom, whose关系副词: when, where, why。 that引导的定语从句： 1.指人或指物均可：Do you know the girl that/ who is standing against the door? ( that指人) This is the house that / which he bought last year. ( that指物) 2.只能用that引导的定语从句: 1）先行词是不定代词 all, few, little, much, something, nothing, anything等, 如: All that we have to do is to practise more. There is nothing that I can do for you. 2）先行词被序数词或形容词最高级修饰时, 如: The first letter that I got from him is kept well. 3）先行词被 all, any, every, each, few, little, no, some等修饰时,如:I have eaten up all the fruit that you gave me. 4）以which作主语开头的特殊问句，为了避免重复，定语从句用 that引导。如：Which is the bus that you will take? 5）主句是以作主语的who开头的特殊问句，为了避免重复时。如：Who is the man that is talking with our headmaster? 6）关系代词在定语从句中作表语时。如：Jane has changed, she was not the man (that) he was 10 years ago. 7）先行词同时包括人或物时，定语从句用 that引导。如：The woman and her dog that I always meet are standing by the gate. Recently libraries are not as popular as before because people prefer to use the Internet to find out information, rather than books.
