Look before you leap.三思而后行。 状语从句 分类 从句的引导词 例句 时间 状语 从句 when/while/as (当……的时候)，before (在……之前), after (在……之后)，since (自从), not…until (直到……才), as soon as (一……就)，until/till(直到)，by the time(到……时) ①I was doing my homework when my father came in. ②He did not go to bed until his grandfather came back. 条件 状语 从句 if (如果), as long as (只要), unless (除非) Unless weather stops me, I go for a walk every day. 原因 状语 从句 because (因为), since (既然), as (由于) ①I like to eat apples because they're good for my health. ②Since everyone is here, let's begin our meeting. 目的 状语 从句 so that/in order that(以便，为了) He gets up early every morning so that he can catch the bus. 结果 状语 从句 so that (结果是), so…that/such…that (如此……以至于) It's so hot outside that nobody wants to go out. 让步 状语 从句 though/although (尽管，虽然), even if/even though(即使), whatever (无论什么), wherever (无论哪里), whenever (无论何时) ①Wherever you go, I will go with you. ②Whenever you come, I will wait for you. 比较 状语 从句 than (比……), as…as (和……一样), not as/so…as (不如……) He is as tall as Tom. 地点 状语 从句 where(哪里), wherever(无论哪里) Sit wherever you like. 【注意】①because与so，though/although与but不能同时出现在一个句子中。 ②when，while与as的区别： when，while，as引导的从句都可以使用延续性动词。when，as都可以与非延续性动词连用，而while则不能。 when可表示瞬间，也可表示时间段，与主句所陈述的动作、事情可同时发生，也可有先后。while常用于连接同时进行的两个动作。as不指先后，尤指两个动作或事件同时发生。如：It was raining when we arrived.(指时间点) When we were at school, we went to the library every day.(在一段时间内) Please don't talk so loud while others are working. She came up as I was cooking.(同时) ③so…that与such…that的区别： so＋形容词/副词＋that so＋形容词＋a/an＋可数名词单数＋that such＋a/an＋形容词＋可数名词单数＋that such＋形容词＋可数名词复数＋that such＋形容词＋不可数名词＋that 当名词前面有many，much，little，few修饰时，用so而不用such。 如：We have so much time that we can finish the work well.
