18th October (Saturday)
After lunch today, I visits an old people’s
home in Tai Po with my classmates and teachers.
We are playing some games with the elderly
people, and then we spend some time chatting with them.
Mrs Poon and I had a good talk. She tells me a lot of things about her childhood. When she was eight years old, there
wasn’t any computers or electronic games. She just played with her friends in the park at weekends. From Mondays to Fridays, she went home right after school because she had to take care of her younger sisters and brothers. Everybody in her class needed to took care of their siblings and help with the housework. Nobody has a helper at home.
After talking to Mrs Poon, I know how lucky I am. I’m too lazy at home so from now on, I’ll be a good girl and help Mum with the housework more often!
