阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
“OK, everybody. This Friday we'll have the Egg Drop Challenge,” said my science teacher.“You can work alone or with a classmate.”
The goal of the Challenge was simple — you had to build a protective container to keep an egg from breaking when dropped over the stadium wall.
My best friend, Cassie, and I smiled at each other. We always worked on projects together. She's brainy; I'm creative.
I made sandwiches that afternoon while waiting for Cassie to come over and work on the container. Spreading the marshmallow cream (棉花糖霜) gave me an idea.
“I have a clever design for our egg container! We can cushion (缓和冲击) it with some marshmallow cream,” I said when Cassie arrived.
“You've got to be kidding,” Cassie said.
“You have a better idea?”
“Actually, I do. We put the egg in a basket with a parachute (降落伞) above it. It will fly down to safety,”Cassie said.
“It's easy for something to go wrong,” I said.
“And marshmallow cream won't?”Cassie said. “The parachute is better than that stupid idea.”
I couldn't believe it. She'd never called any of my ideas “stupid” before.
“Then I'll build mine and you build yours, and we'll just see whose is better,” I said.
“Fine!” Cassie took her backpack and stormed out.
And our friendship was broken like an egg dropped from the top of a stadium without a protective container.
When Friday finally came, I had to say that Cassie's idea seemed pretty good. She had used a handkerchief (手帕) to create a small parachute. It was tied to a basket and, in the center of it was her egg. Mine didn't look quite so scientific. I had lined the sides and bottom of a small box with rice cakes. Then I'd added a layer of marshmallow cream and the egg.
This is how the competition worked:All the kids carried their egg containers up three stadium steps and dropped them over the side wall. If your egg broke, you were out. If the egg didn't break, you had to walk up three more steps and drop it again. This went on until the last egg broke.
In the final, only Cassie and I were left.
注意:1.续写词数应为150左右;
2.请按如下格式作答。
“Good luck, Laura,” Cassie said, turning to me.
“My egg jumped out,” Cassie explained, pointing to a broken egg in the grass.

Ⅲ. 读后续写→参考范文:
“Good luck, Laura,” Cassie said, turning to me.I didn't reply. I believed I would win. The class called, “One, two, three!” We let go of our eggs.“Ew,” I heard someone say after a minute. Had my egg broken?I raced down the steps, trying to get to the bottom before Cassie did. There were broken eggs from previous failed drops on the sidewalk. I finally found mine. I didn't even have to open the box to see the results.
“My egg jumped out,” Cassie explained, pointing to a broken egg in the grass.“I guess your egg was very naughty,”I joked. Cassie looked at me, and her anger softened. I could see it in the corners of her eyes. She was trying not to smile. I smiled. She laughed. Although our eggs both broke, we knew we'd won something more important than the Egg Drop Challenge. Maybe some friendships aren't like eggs after all. They aren't that easily broken.
