visiting
In Video I, the tour guide uses “don’t complain …” which is very rude to the tourists. And her facial expression shows angry, which is unacceptable in the field of hospitality.
In Video II, the tour guide uses “I’m sorry …” which is very polite to the tourists. And her facial expression is kind and amiable , which makes her explanation acceptable and makes it easy to get the tourists’ cooperation.
In hospitality, the attitude of the tour guide is most important. He /she should use polite expressions, should be very patient and kind. If the tourists complain to him/her, the tour guide should treat it seriously, patiently, reasonably and flexibly. Moving too fast from one place to another is a usual complaint of the tourists. On the one hand, the tour guide should plan the visit well, and try to persuade the tourists not to waste time on trivial affairs. At the very beginning, the tour guide should tell the tourists the most interesting and valuable places on the way. On the other hand, the tour guide should give enough time to the tourists for sightseeing. Adjustment of time is always an art for a tour guide.

What are the four great inventions China?
What was the compass used for?
To plan a perfect vacation, you should keep in mind such matters as cost, location, and the length of stay. The four great inventions of ancient China are papermaking, gunpowder, printing and the compass. They have made an enormous impact on the development of human civilization.
Before the invention of paper, writing in China was done on bones, tortoise shells (龟壳), and bamboo (竹子). In 105 AD, Cai Lun invented paper from used fishnet, bark and cloth. This technique of papermaking was introduced to Korea in AD 384 and to Japan in 610. The first paper factory in Europe was set up in Spain. By the 19th century, when paper factories were set up even in Australia, papermaking had spread across the world.
Four Great Inventions in China
During the Warring States Period, a device called the “Si Nan” became the forerunner (前身) of the compass. The Si Nan was a ladle-like magnet (磁铁) on a plate with the handle of the ladle pointing south. In the 11th century, tiny needles made of magnetized steel were invented. One end of the needle pointed north, while the other end pointed south. The compass was thus invented. The compass greatly improved ships’ ability to navigate (航海) long distances.
Four Great Inventions in China
By the end of the Tang Dynasty, gunpowder was used for military purposes. In the 12th and 13th centuries, gunpowder spread to West Asian countries, and then to European countries, and finally to the whole world.
During the Song Dynasty, after extensive experimentation, Bi Sheng invented reusable and moveable (可移动的) clay type (泥活字). Due to the large number of written characters in Chinese, at the time this technique did not have a dramatic impact. However, today, this typesetting technique is regarded as a revolution in industry. About 200 years later, this moveable-type technique spread to other countries and advanced the development of world civilization.
