Dialogue 1
(C = Check-in agent P = Passenger)
C: Morning, madam. May I have your ticket and passport, please?
P: Morning, I’m checking in for my daughter. She’s flying by herself to London to see her father.
C: How old is your daughter?
P: She’s nine years old.
C: Who will meet her at the airport?
P: Her father. I’ve already informed him of the flight schedule.
C: Great. Can I see her Unaccompanied Minor Requested for Carriage-Handling Advice?
P: Here, I’ve already completed it.

Dialogue 1
C: Good. Please show me all her travel documents.
P: Sure. Here’s the form. This is my daughter’s passport and this is my ID card.
C: Good. Everything is in order. Now I’ll seat Zhang Wen in a forward row so that our flight attendants can easily keep an eye on her.
P: You’re very considerate. Thank you very much indeed.
C: We have prepared this envelope to contain your child’s travel documents. Could you please complete the form on the cover of the envelope?
P: OK.
(After completing the form)
P: Here you are. Is that all right?

Dialogue 1
C: Yes, perfect. I’ll put her travel documents into the envelope. Zhang Wen needs to keep this with her during the whole flight so that our flight attendants can easily identify and look after her. She’ll soon be escorted to meet the cabin crew.
P: Will there be anyone to assist her through immigration and customs after arriving in London?
C: Yes, our ground staff at the airport will be informed of her arrival beforehand. When she arrives, she’ll be escorted through the arrival formalities before meeting her father there.
P: Thank you very much.

Dialogue 2
(C = Check-in agent P = Passenger)
C: Good morning. Where are you flying to today?
P: Good morning. I’m going to Tokyo, and here’s my passport.
C: You’re pregnant? Would you mind telling me how many months along you are?
P: Eight months and one week.
C: Since you’re a bit more than eight months pregnant, you need to show me a medical certificate confirming you’re fit to travel by plane.
P: Yes, here’s the certificate.
C: Thank you. Please fill out this form. Also, I need a copy of your certificate.

Dialogue 2
P: No problem. Could I have an emergency exit seat? It’s got more space and would be much more comfortable for me.
C: I’m sorry, but according to safety regulations, I can’t put you in the emergency exit seat. However, I can seat you in the first row. Is that OK?
P: That’s great.
C: Are you travelling alone?
P: Yes.
C: All right. I’ll put a “DOORSIDE” tag on your checked baggage. It will help you get your baggage sooner.
P: Thank you. That’s very thoughtful of you.
C: Here are your passport and boarding pass. This is your baggage tag. Have a nice trip.
