Aims to the abilities: To improve the students communication ability. c. Aims to the emotion: 1. Through self-thinking and group discussion, students can understand the difference between vocational schools and ordinary high schools, and help students make career planning. 2. Students can realize that life in vocational school is different and interesting, and thus build up the confidence to study in vocational school 教学重点 Learn vocabulary and lessons related to school architecture and learn about the characteristics of vocational schools 教学难点 Encourage students to challenge themselves, actively participate in class, speak more and practice more, and make breakthroughs. 教学过程 教  学  内  容 二次备课    Step1 Warm-up 1. Have a free talk. T: Welcome to our vocational school! We have....Everything is new. 2. Let’s talk in pairs.Read the picture on page 2, then answer some questions. a. What’s the name of your new school? b. Can you find something in the picture different from your middle school? c. What do you like about your new school? Step2 Pre-listening (dialogue) · Q: Which is your favourite subject? Why? Words: Chinese, Politics, Maths, PE, English, Art, IT, Mechanical Drawing, Electrical Engineering  Teacher teaches the new words of subject first and then read by students themselves. After that, teacher invites several students to answer the question and check learning results. · Read the dialogue on page 3 Students are required to read the following dialogue aloud together. — Which is your favourite subject? — I like Chinese best because I like reading Chinese books. What about you? — I like Chinese, too. But my favourite subject is Art because I like drawing. Students are divided into several group and roleplay the two characters to get the major expression of this lesson. Step3 While-listening 1.Before playing listening audio, teachers should remind students to listen carefully and patiently. Teachers should lead students in advance to familiarize themselves with the items and structure of personal interest information cards, so that they are prepared and have carry out targeted Ear training. 2. Play audio. Let the students listen from beginning to end for the first time and guess the main idea. 3. The teacher first provides some course names, such as Chinese, IT, PE, English, Art, Mathematics, and Engineering, and leads the students to read them. 4. Listen to the second recording and have students answer the words they hear. 5. Listen to the third recording and have students complete the exercise questions in the textbook. Listening script: Wang Ming: Hi, Zhao Yang. How is your first day at school? Zhao Yang: Wow! It’s wonderful. Wang Ming:What subjects do you have this term? Zhao Yang: I have Maths, IT, PE and so on. How about you? Wang Ming:I have Engineering, Computer, and Maths too. Which is your favourite subject? Zhao Yang: I like IT best. I think it’s important. And you? Wang Ming: My favourite one is Engineering. I think it’s very useful. Zhao Yang: It’s time for class. See you! Wang Ming: Bye-bye! Step4 Summary and assignment 1. Review what we have learned this class and prepare for the ditaction of next lesson. 2.
