Ⅰ.阅读理解
(河北正定中学高二期末)In this day and age we live in, our life is taken over by technology. We can't imagine our life without it, and listening to stories that my mom tells about how she grew up without the Internet or cell phones sounds like a nightmare to me.
Though technology is wonderful and we are used to it and have no desire to be without it, it can be a good idea to sometimes just unplug(拔掉)from it all. Have you ever woken up in the morning just to see you have actually replied to a message to which the reply either doesn't make sense or you can't even remember that you did reply? This can be one of the signs that you are allowing technology to take over your life.
It can be very difficult to pull yourself away from the technology and you will feel you are going to be separated from the things or people around and miss a lot, but is it really so bad to at least get away from it at night and make sure you get a good night's rest? You may feel you don't need a lot of sleep, but at the end of the day you are making it difficult to concentrate the next day.
So let's pack away the technology for a few hours at night—you only have to make a few small changes. Turn off your cell phone and switch off your computer at night when you go to bed. If you feel you will use your phone during the night, charge your phone in another room.
Make enough sleep a priority and feel and look good the next day. You may think it is a really silly idea to be without a cell phone or a computer during the night, but once you do it a few times and you get enough sleep and feel refreshed the following day, you will understand why it is a good idea and will try and unplug more times.

(佛山高二月考)Do you believe you are addicted to video games and want to break the habit? Let's face it. A video game addiction is definitely one that's hard to quit. We should learn to recognize the signs and symptoms(症状)of video game addiction. 1
Keep reading for detailed instructions.
Ask yourself: Are you really addicted?
Trying to get rid of a nonexistent gaming addiction is impossible, so ask yourself a couple of questions to find out whether the addiction exists or not. Do you focus on video games while not caring about using the bathroom, eating, sleeping, or some other necessary bodily functions? Do you spend a lot of money on video games? 2
Try to find another hobby.
Finding something else to take up your time is the absolute solution to video game addiction. Try reading books, collecting stuff, or fixing things. 3
Keep an eye on yourself.
There's a timer(计时器)on most video games and personal computers and you can set a time to cut off the power so that you can prevent yourself from playing. 4 You can try setting your watch or an alarm to go off after a certain time.
Ask someone else to help you.
5 It is much easier for you to quit playing if someone else is asking you to, instead of trying to make yourself quit. So if possible, just ask someone for help, whether they're your brothers and sisters or someone you know from school.

[参考范文]
During the summer holiday, I read a book called Robinson Crusoe, which was written by Daniel Defoe, a famous writer of England in the 18th century.
Born in a relatively rich family, the leading character Robinson abandoned his comfortable and easy life, hoping to realize his dream of sailing on his own.Through his wisdom and struggle, he eventually became a respected man and a millionaire, who owned an island country and a large acre of Brazilian sugar cane fields.
I think we should learn from Robinson, who had courage to struggle, to challenge himself, to take action and to pursue.Only in this way can we develop a strong self, through which we can live on our own.
