Unit 6　I’m going to study computer science. 考点1　keep on的用法 keep on意为“继续”,后可接动名词。例如: Prices keep on increasing.价格持续上涨。 keep的相关短语与用法 keep up跟上;继续;不落后 keep up with跟上;和……保持联系 keep in mind记住 keep in touch保持联络 keep out阻止进入 keep away远离;不接近 keep to oneself保守秘密;不交际 keep away from远离;回避 keep doing继续做…… keep+adj.保持……考点2　be able to的用法 be able to意为“能够做某事”,后跟动词原形,用于表示能力,有时可以和can进行同义转换。can只有一般现在时和一般过去时两种形式,即can和could。没有人称和数的变化。而be able to可根据句子需要可以用于任何时态,如was able to,will be able to等。例如: She said she could play the piano.她说她会弹钢琴。 If we change our seats,you will be able to see the blackboard clearly.如果我们换座位,你就能够看清黑板了。 考点3　promise的用法 1.promise作名词时,意为“承诺;诺言”;作动词时,意为“许诺;承诺”。 2.promise的相关短语与用法: make a promise许下诺言 keep one’s promise遵守诺言 break one’s promise违背诺言;说话不算数 promise sb.to do sth.答应某人做某事 考点4　take up的用法 1.take up表示“开始做;学着做”,尤其指做以前没做过的事。take up后面可跟名词或动名词。 2.take up还可表示“占用”。例如: My mother asked me to move the table out of the room because it took up too much room.我妈妈要我把那张桌子搬出房间,因为它占用了太多空间。 take的相关短语 take off起飞;脱掉 take away拿走;带走 take out掏出;取出 take down写下;记下 take place发生 take turns按顺序;轮流 take part in参加 take care of照顾 考点5　discuss的用法 1.discuss作动词,意为“讨论;商量”。常用短语discuss with sb.意为“与某人商量”。 2.discuss的常见用法: (1)discuss后面接“疑问词+to do sth.”结构作宾语。例如: We are discussing how to get to the airport.我们正在讨论怎样去机场。 (2)discuss后面接宾语从句。例如: They discussed what they could do.他们商量了他们能做什么。 3.discuss的名词形式为discussion,意为“讨论;商讨”。 考点6　sure的用法 1.sure常用于口语中,为说话人较有把握的肯定回答,意为“当然可以;愿意”,相当于certainly或yes。例如: —May I use your pen?我能用一下你的钢笔吗? —Sure.当然可以。 2.sure的其他用法: (1)祈使句“Be sure+不定式+其他”表示说话人向对方所提出的要求,意为“务必,千万”。例如: Be sure to give it back in time.务必要及时归还。 (2)“be sure+不定式”还可意为“一定,肯定”,往往表示说话人的一种推测或判断,主语可以是人,也可以是物。例如: It’s sure to rain tomorrow.明天一定会下雨。 (3)be sure of/about表示“相信;对……有把握”,后接名词、代词或动名词形式,主语必须是人。例如: He is sure of success.= He is sure that he will succeed.他自信会取得成功。 (4)“be sure+从句”表示“肯定;对……有把握”,主句的主语必须是人。例如: I’m sure who he is.我知道他是谁。 (5)make sure意为“确保;查明”。例如: Make sure you get a good look at their faces.你一定要仔细看清他们的面孔。 　　梦想是一盏灯,给我们指引方向;梦想是一支笔,助我们描绘未来蓝图。假如你们学校英语俱乐部正在举办以“My Dream”为题的演讲比赛。请根据以下提示,写一篇80词左右的英语演讲稿参加比赛。 提示:1.你的梦想是什么; 2.树立该梦想的原因; 3.实现该梦想的计划。 My Dream ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【参考范文】 My Dream Everybody has his own dream and so do I.
