《Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science.Section A (1a-2c)》教学设计 一、Teaching objectives: 1.Students can master the following words: grow up, computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist. 2.Students can master the following key structures: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a basketball player. How are you going to do that? I’m going to practice basketball every day. 3. Students can master the grammar: be going to do sth. 4. Lead in (free talk) Teacher’s activity : I am a teacher and you are students now. I know some other jobs in the world.Ask Ss what other jobs do you know? Students’ activity :Ss can speak out other jobs they know. 设计意图:这环节主要衔接新旧知识,可以使学生更好地掌握关于职业的词汇。 Step 2. Presentation 1.Teacher’s activity : Introduce the new words with the pictures: computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist, … Students’ activity :Ss learn the words with the pictures and try to remember them. Teacher’s activity :Teacher should emphasis “an engineer, an actor, an actress”, piano-pianist, violin-violinist, science-scientist Students’ activity:Ss master the new words and pronunciation. 2. Tell Ss to rank them [ 1-12]. 1 is most interesting, 12 is least interesting. 设计意图:这环节主要通过学习新词汇然后用游戏激起学生学习的兴趣,对所学关于职业的词汇也是一种检测,为后面引出对话做铺垫。 Step 3 Pair work Teacher’s activity : introduce the new pattern A: What do you want to be when you grow up? B: I want to be a basketball player. Students’ activity: Ss look at the pictures to talk about their favorite job in the future. 设计意图:学生能够把所学的词汇融到句子中,可以用本节课的目标句型进行自由对话。 Step 4 listening 1.Pre- listening Teacher’s activity : Tell Ss to read the words of jobs in the chart. Make sure they know [the meaning of the words and sentences. 2.While- listening Play the recording for the Ss to listen and fill in the blanks. 3.Post-listening a. Play the record again. Check the answers with the Ss. b. Show the answers on the big screen. 设计意图:这环节主要是训练学生的听力,然后可以根据同理内容进行对话以便巩固新语言点。 Step 5 listening 2a&2b Pre-listening 1. Let Ss look at the pictures below. Explain the activities in the pictures if necessary. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check (√) the correct boxes in the picture. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. While -listening 1. Let Ss read the chart below. Tell Ss that they’ll listen to Cheng Han’s plan for the future. They should answer the questions: “What” means “What is Cheng Han want to be?” “Where” means “where is Cheng Han going to work?” “How” means “How is he going to do it? ” “When” means “when is he going to start?” 1. Play the recording for the Ss to write the correct answers in the chart. 2. Play the recording again to check the answers. 设计意图:这环节主要是培养学生的听力能力,可以捕捉到所需要的关键信息。 四、练测促学: Do a survey Report: Tom is going to be an engineer when he grows up. Because it’s an exciting job . He’s going to study math really hard, and he’s going to work in Beijing. 五、拓展延伸 1. Summary be going to 句型的用法 对于将要发生的事,或打算、计划要做的事,皆以“be going to +动词原形”的来表示。 如:I’m going to be a teacher when I grow up. 2.Give a material about an actor. 六.布置作业 I.
