There is (some) doubt whether ... 对是否……持有(一些)疑问。
(2)I doubt whether/if ... 我怀疑是否……
I don’t doubt that ... 我确信……
提醒 doubt既可以作名词,又可以作动词。在肯定句中常接whether/if引导的从句(同位语从句中只用whether),在否定句和疑问句中常接that从句。
①There is no doubt that staying up is more likely to result in anxiety.
毫无疑问,熬夜更有可能导致焦虑。
②There is some doubt whether he is the best man for the job.
对他是否是做这个工作的最佳人选人们怀有一些疑问。
③We have no doubt that they can complete the task on time.
我们相信他们能按时完成这项任务。
④I doubt if/whether he will continue to work here.
