I am a snake, but I can’t bite. I am a worm who can go across the country day and night. What am I?） Lead-in 1.Displaying a riddle and letting students to guess. 2. Showing two pictures but they are covered and the teacher reveals the picture little by little so that students can guess what that is. 3. Telling the answers that the first one is Jingzhang Railway and the second one is Zhantianyou thereby introducing the lesson. 1.Guessing the riddle--a train 2.Guessing the answer of picture reveal game ppt 通过两个阶段猜一猜游戏，逐步引导学生对本课内容产生兴趣，同时引入本课重点。 活动二： The backgroud of the railway（教学内容： Where was Zhan Tianyou born） Showing some figures and asking students to guess what are their meanings with regards to the railway. Then the teacher reveals the correponding questions to each answer. Guessing the meanings of the fugures and their relations with the railway. ppt 通过提取关键数字形式将关键信息提前呈现在学生面前帮助也是对本文大致内容有整体了解。 活动三： New knowledge（教学内容： The reading passage, paragraph 1） 1.Introducing the Jingzhang Railway by going through the first paragraph and labeling the key expressions. 2.Giving example sentences as to the key expressions so that students can have a better understanding of them. 1.Listening and taking notes about the key expressions. 2. Taking notes to record the expressions. ppt 提取常用短语，给出例句，方便学生在类似人物文章的阅读和撰写有所积累。 活动五： The difficluties in building the railway(教学内容：The Jingzhang Railway must go through（穿过） an area of hills and mountains. 京张铁路必须穿山越岭。) Playing the video showing how hard it was to build a railway in the JIngzhang area. Then the teacher goes on to show how Zhan Tianyou overcome the difficulties. Paying attention to the video and fully understanding the hardship that Zhan went through and get to know the key words describing the hardships. ppt/video 通过视频辅助说明京张铁路建造的难度之高，帮助学生理解However oversome等词汇在这里使用的充分性。 活动六: What do you think of Zhan Tianyou and why? （教学内容：output） Inviting students to express their onpions on What they think of Zhan Tianyou and why according to the wordcloud of adjectives given by the teacher.
