(2022·重庆-中期中)Anyone,whether they have ever been to Phoenix or not, would know
this about the place-it is hot. From June to September, the temperature can easily go beyond the
century mark. But that doesn't stop hikers from attempting the 1.3-mile hiking to the top of the
city's famed Camelback Mountain.Signs warn that the trail()is "extremely difficult".If you
continue,a posted checklist suggests at least a liter of water per person. And if you're still not
stopped, another sign farther up declares:"If you're halfway through your water, turn around!"
Unfortunately, many people do not take the warnings seriously.Fortunately,Scott Cullymore
does. The 53-year-old Cullymore can be found hiking up and down Camelback a couple of times a
day, giving out cold bottles of water to worn-out hikers. He has helped supply water to so many
hikers that he has earned a heavenly nickname:the Water Angel.
Cullymore was on Camelback Mountain one day in 2015 when a British tourist died after being
lost for nearly six hours in the July heat. That experience inspired him to start helping people
caught unaware by the cruelty of Mother Nature."They underestimate the mountain, and they
overestimate what they can do,and they get themselves into trouble,"he warned.
One hiker who was offered water agrees."You think you know the heat, but then you get out
here in the desert and it surrounds you like a blanket,"said Austin Hill, who was hiking with a
high school friend. They were lucky. He said pointing to Cullymore,"We ran into this Good
Samaritan here."And with that, the Water Angel goes in search of another hiker in need.

(2022·河北沧州校联考)Color psychology(色彩心理学)is a fascinating field seeking to
understand the psychological and physiological responses that different colors bring to mind in
individuals. It can be traced back to ancient civilizations.where colors were associated with specific
meanings and symbolism. For example,in ancient Egypt, the color blue was associated with the
sky and represented fertility and rebirth.Throughout history, artists and philosophers have
explored the relationship between colors and emotions, leading to the development of modern color
psychology.
Certain colors can evoke()specific emotional and cognitive responses.Warm colors like
red and orange are generally associated with energy and stimulation, while cool colors like blue and
green are associated with calmness and relaxation.
Based on the associations, companies often use color psychology to stir up desired emotional
responses in consumers.Fast-food chains often incorporate red and yellow in their branding to
increase physical desire for food and convey a sense of urgency.Color choices in interior design and
architecture can greatly impact the atmosphere and mood of a space.Certain colors may promote
productivity in work environments, while others may create a sense of tranquility in residential
settings.Color is also used in therapeutic()settings to create a desired emotional effect. For
instance, blue is often used in healthcare settings to promote a sense of calmness and trust.
Experts have made some important discoveries and observations about color psychology and its
impact on mood, emotion and behavior, and understanding the principles of color psychology can
empower individuals and professionals to make informed decisions regarding color choices in various
contexts. However, what may startle us is that little theoretical research has been conducted to
date on the effects of color on psychological functioning, and the work that has been done has been
largely motivated by practical considerations rather than scientific basis.Much research is needed to
understand its complex nature fully.

(2023·江苏如皋期末)Everyone deserves to love where he or she lives. That's why Tash
Frootko,a property developer in Gloucester,England, began the Rainbow Street project in her
quiet town four years ago.
Frootko brought a new life to her properties by brightening the outside of each home,
transforming her neighborhood into a colorful place. Now,she is partnering with local street artists
to take her project a step further and turn Gloucester's city center into a Rainbow Square.
"We didn't get recognition from local people at first. But later,an unexpected outcome
happened,"said Frootko.
"It has brought the community together really well,"Michelle,a local citizen said."If it
hadn't been for Frootko, then none of us would have come out and spoken to each other.
"I actively seek out areas that can't receive enough attention and turn them into huge attractive
colors for everyone to enjoy and add a much-needed cultural boost for the city,"Frootko said.
The new Rainbow Square includes an even more special design.Frootko convinced two street
artists to get on board and contribute large murals to two buildings on the Square.Power,a street
artist and printmaker, has worked on community art projects across the UK.She said,"This was
truly a labor of love. With a uniquely designed typeface, shadows and gold leaf,I hope that this
mural becomes a much-loved landmark of the city and makes the city attractive."
The final result of the project was a huge hit, turning a once sleepy collection of streets into a
place that celebrates joy and culture.Every local citizen and visitor who walks by is sure to have
their day brightened by the art of the Rainbow Square. And all of this is related to Frootko's strong
