Shyness is a kind of fear. People who are shy always worry too much about what other people think of them or feel nervous for different reasons in front of others. How can we deal with shyness? Here are some tips for shy people.
Have a good posture(姿势)
A person’s posture can tell us a lot about him. People with sloped(倾斜的) shoulders don’t think of themselves as important. So stand up straight, pull your shoulders back, keep your head up and always make eye contact(接触). By practicing a good posture, you will feel you have the ability to do things well.
Increase your walking speed
You can tell if a person is confident by the way he walks. People who walk in a slow way, and look at the ground while walking are usually not confident about themselves. However, people who have confidence in themselves walk faster. That is because they have important things to do, friends to meet, places to go and so on. So walk a little faster, raise your head, and look straight ahead.
Do some exercise
Exercise helps increase energy in your body. That will make you active and confident. By doing exercise, you will feel sure of yourself. Think about it: it is better to do some exercise than just looking at TV all day.
Do things that make you feel good about yourself
This can be anything that you really like doing, such as going to the theater, listening to music, traveling, and helping someone out with a problem.

Researchers have studied lefthandedness for at least 150 years. However, what makes a person become lefthanded is unknown, although there are many theories(理论) about it.
A recent UK study of unborn babies found that handedness might develop before their birth. About nine out of ten unborn babies preferred to put their right hand into their mouths.Another finding is that mothers who are over 40 at the time of a child's birth are 128% more likely to have a lefthanded baby than a woman in her twenties. Since about 90% people are righthanded, lefthanded people do go through some difficulties.
Because we write from left to right, it is hard for a lefthanded person to write without smudging(模糊) the ink. What's more, most tools such as scissors and kitchen knives are made for righthanded people. It can be dangerous for lefthanded people to use them.
In the past, lefthanded children were forced(被迫) to use their right hand because people thought they were strange. Luckily, now fewer people have a bias against lefthanders. Lefthanded children are no longer looked down upon in school. Some shops sell products for lefthanders, such as lefthanded guitars and even a lefthanded computer mouse.Since 1976, there has been an unusual day for lefthanders. International LeftHanders Day is celebrated on August 13th every year.
It draws people's attention to the challenges lefthanders face in a world full of righthanders. More and more people have realized lefthandedness is nothing strange.

A. 回答问题(本题有5小题,每小题2分,共10分)
请阅读下面这篇文章,根据所提供的信息,回答5个问题。要求所写答案语法正确、语义完整。
Blind people used to get around with the help of a walking stick. They tap(轻打) it along the ground as they move. At the same time, dogs are trained to help them, too. These guide dogs lead blind people through busy areas. When blind people are in a new place, they can ask others for directions. Then they pass on the information to the guide dog by using the right orders.
Now there is new technology that can help blind people when they are in a new place. It is GPS. GPS stands for the Global Positioning System. GPS can tell a blind person exactly where he or she is. It uses satellites(卫星) in space to work.
Blind people who use GPS carry around a tiny receiver.
The tiny(微小的) receiver works like a talking map!
First, the receiver gets information from satellites in space. Then, a computer guides the user with voice orders. Finally, the user listens for exact directions.
GPS also lets people know what is around them. It tells the name of the street that is coming up. It may even tell the user about a park or store nearby. Blind GPS users have a better idea about their neighborhood. They feel better about traveling alone. They feel good about getting to new places.
Some scientists noted that GPS still has room for improvement. For example, GPS will call the police as soon as possible when blind people have an emergency(紧急情况) in the future. We all hope that blind people will live like healthy people with the help of GPS.
