Warm up
Say the rhyme “Rain, rain, go away” .
What do the children want to do?
If the rain stops, what are they going to do?
Sing the song and get to know “are going to” in the song.

Step2 Presentation
T: Look at the calendar, Janet and Ben are going to do something in this month.
a. Talk about the picture:
Which month is it?
What are they going to do?
Learn the words by picture talking: museum, month, test, date
b. Listen and answer:

c. Read after the video, and then fill in the table on PPT

The reading of the dates is the difficult point for this lesson. And although Ss have already learned the use of be going to, they are easy to mix the verb form up with ing form. Should give them more time to practice.
