exciting “令人激动的；使人兴奋的”, 常用来修饰事物。

excited “兴奋的；激动的”, 常用来描述或说明人的情绪。如：

(1)这个故事非常激动人心。This story is very exciting.

(2)看到那个电影明星我很兴奋。I am excited to see that film star.

   英语中有很多与exciting和excited类似用法的形容词。

以-ing 结尾的形容词表示“令人……的”, 大多用来修饰事物；以-ed 结尾的形容词通常表示 “感到……的”，一般用来修饰人。如：

exciting 令人激动的；使人兴奋的 excited 兴奋的；激动的

boring 无聊的；令人厌烦的 bored 感到无聊/厌烦的

tiring 累人的 tired 感到疲倦/累的

surprising 令人吃惊的 surprised 感到吃惊的

beat和win

beat “打败；战胜”，后面常接球队或表示人的名词或代词。

win  “赢；获胜”，后接表示比赛、比赛的名次或奖品、战争等的名词。
