最后一片叶子
Sue and Johnsy were friends. They lived in one studio. But Johnsy was ill. The doctor thought there were uncertain hope. At the same time, Johnsy lay on the bed ,looking out of the window and counted “ 10、 9” and “ 8、 7… ” She said :“when the last leaf fell,I must go.” Sue heard that and felt sad. She went to invite old Behrman, who was a painter with no achievement. Behrman heard the story of Johnsy from Sue.
苏艾和琼西是好朋友。他们生活在一间工作室。但是琼西病危。医生认为她没什么希望了。琼西每天躺在床上看着窗外的常青藤树叶,一片一片地数着。她说“当最后一片树叶落下,我就走了”苏艾听到后非常难过,她去拜访了一位没有什么杰作的老画家贝尔曼,于是他也知道了琼西的事。

After a terrible night, there was still one leaf. Johnsy lay for a long time looking at it. Then she saw the hope of the life.
With the help of doctor and Sue, Johnsy was out of danger. But the bad news was that the old Behrman died of pneumonia. And they knew the secret that the last leaf was just a painting ,drew by Behrman in that terrible night.
狂风暴雨过后,还剩最后一片叶子。琼西躺在床上一直看着这片树叶,就像看到了生命的希望。在医生和苏艾的帮助下,琼西的病好转,但是老画家贝尔曼死于肺炎,最后他们才得知最后一片叶子是一幅画,贝尔曼创作于那个风雨交加的夜晚。
