But I want to give a short speech about the past year. Since the summer, we all have been focusing our efforts on the goal of creating three new products by Chinese New Year. Now, it’s just before Christmas, and we’ve already achieved this goal. So, as this office’s general manager, I’d like to congratulate you all first. Second, I’ve communicated with the board members over the last few days, and we have decided that everyone will be going home with a holiday gift. I still remember the extra vacation days we got last year. But by the end of today, everyone will receive a significant holiday bonus. It will be twice as much as last year. We all should be proud of our product development and sales figures. This extra payment is given for your excellent performance. But more than the money, my greatest honor was watching everyone work well together as a team. So, before we all leave for the day, our sales and marketing director will say a few words. Please, put your hands together for her. A What’s UP? Here, let’s take a look at some excellent book review s for this month. Dead Good Detectives Jenny McLachlan This is the story of a 12-year-old girl called Sid who loves playing horror games with her friends. But when she accidentally releases the ancient ghost pirate, Bones, Sid is launched into an adventure! However, there is someone hiding in the shadows, intended to send Bones back into the mysterious inn that he came from. D.Literature and art. 根据Dead Good Detectives部分中“This is a funny, exciting book that I would recommend to people who love lots of laughs.”(这是一本有趣的、令人兴奋的书,我会推荐给喜欢笑的人)可知,该书适合喜欢幽默故事的孩子,作者为Jenny McLachlan。故选A。 22. 根据Totty部分中“He wakes up with a plastic bag stuck around his neck, swims through an oil spill and gets caught in a fishing net.”(他醒来时发现脖子上缠着一个塑料袋,他游过了漏油点,却被渔网缠住了)以及“If you like sea animals and care for the environment then this is a good book for you!”(如果你喜欢海洋动物,关心环境,那么这是一本很适合你的书!) 根据表格上方“Let’s take a look at some excellent book review s for this month.”(让我们来看看本月的一些优秀书评)可知,本文体裁属于书评,应是来自于文学和艺术。故选D。 B My son asked my husband and me several months ago if he could switch from his mainstream high school to an alternative education environment. At that time, I was unsure and a little heartbroken. He wasn’t doing well in that school. In my head, I knew the best thing for him was to switch to another learning environment to complete his high school year. But my heart broke a little that he would not walk the same graduation field and stage that I had walked. The scenario I had created was no longer beneficial to his well-being. My son is extremely shy and has always had a small friend group. Large groups are complex for him, and he was very upset at a school with over 2,500 kids as a child with social anxiety. A school of that size can be difficult for anyone, let alone an introvert (内向的人) with social anxiety. We discovered that the continuation school was an option with the same general curriculum required by our state to graduate high school. The credits he had already earned would carry over, and he could graduate early. After talking, we decided that this was his best option. By allowing him to choose this option, we have watched him thrive! The difference is astonishing. My son made friends; he was productive and participated in a life skills course to help himself with real-life studies. He got along well with his teachers and classmates. The most significant change we saw was that he would come home smiling and happy, enthusiastic about his day. He was excited to share what he was learning and how his day had gone, which warmed my heart. As his momma, this is all I needed — knowing that letting him choose what was suitable for his educational path was the right move. 24.How did the author feel on her son’s request at first? A.Proud. B.Puzzled. C.Disappointed. D.Embarrassed. 25.What was the problem of the author’s son? A.He had no friends. B.He didn’t really like learning. C.He was the slowest student in his class. D.He was poor at communicating with others. 26.What did the family realize after learning about the continuation school? A.It was a very satisfying option for them. B.A mainstream high school was much better. C.An alternative education was not advisable. D.The son might have difficulty in graduating. 27.The underlined word “scenario” could be best replaced by _____. A.plot B.history C.novel D.rule 【答案】24.C 25.D 26.A 27.A 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。 由文章第一段“My son asked my husband and me several months ago if he could switch from his mainstream high school to an alternative education environment. At that time, I was unsure and a little heartbroken. (几个月前,我儿子问我和我丈夫,他是否可以从主流高中转到另一种教育环境。那时候,我很不确定,还有点心碎。)”可知,作者最初对儿子的要求感到不确定和有点心碎,因此是感到失望的。故选C。 25.推理判断题。由文章第三段“My son is extremely shy and has always had a small friend group. Large groups are complex for him, and he was very upset at a school with over 2,500 kids as a child with social anxiety. A school of that size can be difficult for anyone, let alone an introvert (内向的人) with social anxiety. (我儿子非常害羞,他的朋友圈子很小。对他来说,大的群体是复杂的,他在一所有2500多名学生的学校里感到非常不安,因为他小时候患有社交焦虑症。这种规模的学校对任何人来说都很难,更不用说有社交焦虑的内向者了。)”可知,作者的儿子非常害羞,朋友少,且有社交焦虑,在人多的环境中会感到不安,所以他与他人沟通存在问题。故选D。 26.推理判断题。由文章第四段中的“After talking, we decided that this was his best option. (经过讨论,我们认为这是他最好的选择。)”以及第五段中“By allowing him to choose this option, we have watched him thrive! The difference is astonishing. My son made friends; he was productive and participated in a life skills course to help himself with real-life studies. He got along well with his teachers and classmates. (通过允许他选择这个选项,我们看到了他的成长!差异是惊人的。我儿子交了朋友;他学习效率很高,参加了一个生活技能课程,以帮助自己在现实生活中学习。他与老师和同学相处得很好。)”可知,在了解了继续教育学校之后,他们认为这是非常令人满意的选项。故选A。 27. 由第二段中的“He wasn’t doing well in that school. In my head, I knew the best thing for him was to switch to another learning environment to complete his high school year. But my heart broke a little that he would not walk the same graduation field and stage that I had walked. (他在那所学校表现不好。在我的脑海里,我知道对他来说最好的事情是换一个学习环境完成他的高中学业。但我的心有点碎,因为他不会走在我走过的毕业场地和舞台上。)”和“The scenario I had created was no longer beneficial to his well-being.(我所创造的scenario不再有利于他的幸福)”可知,作者所创造的场景不再有利于儿子的幸福。 A. plot情节;B. history历史;C. novel小说;D. rule规则。故选A。 C Do you ever find yourself randomly thinking back to the times we wandered, collecting wildflowers and smiling beneath the sky? That feeling is often referred to as nostalgia (怀旧). Psychologists have defined nostalgia as a self-conscious, social emotion, bittersweet but dominantly positive. It comes from our happy memories and our desire to go back to the past and reconnect with the people we cared about. Often, nostalgia involves sensory stimuli. On some occasions, the smell of autumn leaves might generate a fierce longing for your childhood home. Almost everyone can experience nostalgia, although its object tends to vary throughout life. One survey conducted by the psychologist Krystine Irene Batcho found that younger people felt more nostalgia for pets, toys, and holidays than did older people, who felt it more strongly for music. In contrast to its links to negative emotions, nostalgia doesn’t make us sadder. Rather, nostalgia is a defensive response to unhappiness, one that brings relief from a negative mood. Research from 2006 shows that nostalgia can actually strengthen social ties, improve self-esteem, and uplift our mood. Other studies suggest that it can also enhance our view of life’s meaning, reduce fear of death, boost spirituality, and increase optimism. Scholars remain uncertain about the precise mechanism behind the effectiveness of nostalgia; however, some suggest that reflecting on joyful memories strengthens our sense of self-worth and belonging, particularly during times of loneliness or self-doubt. Its power lets the happiness of the past overcome the current unpleasantness, offering a bit of escape from tough times. To form stronger connections, we can establish traditions around shared past experiences in families, friend groups, and workplaces. Observing special occasions like childhood sports or post-college meetups can give us something to look forward to. Perhaps because it is so powerful and complex, nostalgia has received magical treatment from poets and writers. “The past is hidden somewhere outside the realm (领域), beyond the reach of intellect,” Marcel Proust wrote. 28.Why does the author mention “autumn leaves” in the second paragraph? A.To illustrate the complexity of nostalgia. B.To emphasize the joyful nature of nostalgia. C.To clarify nostalgia’s connection to our senses. D.To stress individual variety of experiencing nostalgia. 29.What is paragraph 3 mainly about? A.The mismatch between two findings. B.The potential benefits of nostalgia. C.The impact of nostalgia on personal mood. D.The mechanisms behind nostalgia’s effects. 30.What does the author suggest us do in paragraph 4? A.Create shared traditions for bonding and joy. B.Record the social gatherings regularly. C.Recognize the unnecessary social gatherings. D.Say no to the concept of escapism. 31.Which of the following is the best title for the text? A.Nostalgia: Why We Should Avoid Reflecting on the Past B.Nostalgia: A Shelter Against the Unhappiness of Our Life C.A Nostalgia Warning: Our Mental Health Being Attacked D.Power of Nostalgia: Struggling for an Irreplaceable Present 【答案】28.C 29.B 30.A 31.B 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要讲述了怀旧的定义、产生原因、影响以及我们应如何利用怀旧来增强社交关系和自我价值感。 28. On some occasions, the smell of autumn leaves might generate a fierce longing for your childhood home.”(怀旧通常涉及感官刺激。 根据文章第三段的内容“In contrast to its links to negative emotions, nostalgia doesn’t make us sadder. Rather, nostalgia is a defensive response to unhappiness, one that brings relief from a negative mood. Research from 2006 shows that nostalgia can actually strengthen social ties, improve self-esteem, and uplift our mood. Other studies suggest that it can also enhance our view of life’s meaning, reduce fear of death, boost spirituality, and increase optimism.”(与它与负面情绪的联系相反,怀旧并不会让我们更悲伤。 根据文章第四段“To form stronger connections, we can establish traditions around shared past experiences in families, friend groups, and workplaces. Observing special occasions like childhood sports or post-college meetups can give us something to look forward to.”(为了形成更强的联系,我们可以在家庭、朋友圈和工作场所建立围绕共享过去经历的传统。) 故选A。 31. 根据全文内容以及第四段“Scholars remain uncertain about the precise mechanism behind the effectiveness of nostalgia; however, some suggest that reflecting on joyful memories strengthens our sense of self-worth and belonging, particularly during times of loneliness or self-doubt. Its power lets the happiness of the past overcome the current unpleasantness, offering a bit of escape from tough times.”(学者们仍然不确定怀旧效应背后的确切机制;然而,一些人认为,回忆快乐的记忆可以增强我们的自我价值感和归属感,尤其是在孤独或自我怀疑的时候。 B。 D Living in a city, you may face fewer parking spaces, more pollution, less personal space, and more traffic and noise, all of which contribute to higher stress levels, often translating to aggression And now, researchers have found evidence that this behavior applies to song sparrows (歌雀) too. But it comes with a surprising benefit to the youngest generation of city sparrows. There are fewer city-living song sparrows than in the countryside. However, the increased aggression observed in the males can be connected to a more pressing need to defend territories in urban settings. But that increased aggression doesn’t mean the males fail in their duties as fathers. In fact, the researchers were surprised to find that the opposite may be true. “Male songbirds are thought to reduce parental care when they are more aggressive. Yet this study showed that urban male song sparrows provided more care for their young,” says Dr Samuel Lane, lead author of the study. “Against our expectations, we found that they visited nests more often and were more successful parents than the males in the countryside.” The researchers carried out their studies at six sites across southwest Virginia, USA, across four breeding (繁殖) seasons. They found that the high survival rate of their chicks was subject to many factors. Not only did male sparrows visit their nests more often, but they also began feeding chicks earlier in the day. Despite the challenges of being a city bird, hatching success was observed to be higher in urban habitats. And even though brood parasitism, one species laying eggs in the nest of another, is typically higher in urban areas, the researchers observed that rates of nest predation, the act of other animals eating eggs or young birds, were lower, further contributing to the overall nesting success of these sparrows. Lane said, “Our study adds to growing evidence that certain species of songbirds even benefit from living in urban environments when there is enough green space for them to find food and nest locations.” The team hope ongoing research in this area will contribute to the establishment of urban environments aimed at offering improved support for wildlife. 32.What causes the increased aggression of male city sparrows? A.The stress of protecting their territories. B.The worsening of urban noise pollution. C.The challenges of building their nests. D.The growing needs of younger generations. 33.What had the researchers expected of urban males compared to those in the countryside? A.They lived shorter lives. B.They had a higher population. C.They had lower nest attendance. D.They woke up earlier in the morning. 34.Which of the following can be found in urban areas according to the study? A.Higher nest locations. B.Reduced brood parasitism. C.Limited breeding seasons. D.Lower nest predation rates. 35.What can be a suitable title for the text? A.City Male Birds Do It All B.Aggressive Birds Surprise Scientists C.Big City Life Makes Birds Better Dads D.The Future of City Birds Lies in Our Hands 【答案】32.A 33.C 34.D 35.C 【导语】这是一篇说明文。 由文章第二段“There are fewer city-living song sparrows than in the countryside. However, the increased aggression observed in the males can be connected to a more pressing need to defend territories in urban settings. (城市里活着的歌麻雀比农村少。然而,在雄性歌雀身上观察到的攻击性增加可能与在城市环境中更迫切地需要保卫领土有关。)”可知,保护领地的压力导致雄性城市麻雀的攻击性增加。故选A项。 33. 由文章第三段“Against our expectations, we found that they visited nests more often and were more successful parents than the males in the countryside(与我们的预期相反,我们发现它们比农村的雄性更经常去巢穴,而且是更成功的父母)”可知,研究人员原本预计,与农村歌雀相比,城市雄性的歌雀对巢里幼崽照顾率较低,不能成为很好的父亲。故选C项。 34. 由文章第四段“And even though brood parasitism, one species laying eggs in the nest of another, is typically higher in urban areas, the researchers observed that rates of nest predation, the act of other animals eating eggs or young birds, were lower, further contributing to the overall nesting success of these sparrows.(尽管在城市地区,一个物种在另一个物种的巢穴中产卵的窝寄生率通常较高,但研究人员观察到,巢穴捕食率(其它动物吃蛋或幼鸟的行为)较低,这进一步促进了这些麻雀的整体筑巢成功。)” 由文章第二段“There are fewer city-living song sparrows than in the countryside. However, the increased aggression observed in the males can be connected to a more pressing need to defend territories in urban settings. But that increased aggression doesn’t mean the males fail in their duties as fathers. In fact, the researchers were surprised to find that the opposite may be true.(城市里活着的歌雀比农村少。 How to Keep Personal Art Journals You might have heard that keeping a journal is a great way to record your thoughts and understand your emotions. Typical journaling involves only writing. 36 . And because there are so many ways to express yourself in an art journal, it’s a wonderful creative outlet for both beginners and more experienced creatives. 37 . It combines elements of writing, drawing, painting, collage (拼贴画), and even graffiti to express yourself. This includes your everyday life, as well as your hopes, dreams, and fears. A single page will often have both words and illustrations to offer a look at what’s going on inside your head. Art journaling is a way to practice self-care. It encourages you to take a little time for yourself — even if it’s just for 15 minutes a day. When you look back at what you’ve written or drawn, you can gain valuable insight into the challenges in your life. The point of creating a visual journal is not to make every page a masterpiece. 38 . Art journaling is completely customizable (可定制的) depending on your skills and interests. Many people choose to use mixed media and decorate their pages with drawing and painting materials. 39 . The most important thing when beginning your art journal, however, is selecting the right book. There are many considerations when it comes to picking your journal book. Size is one. If you enjoy making large drawings, for instance, then a bigger book might be best. 40 . 37.根据下文“It combines elements of writing, drawing, painting, collage (拼贴画), and even graffiti to express yourself. 39.根据上文“Many people choose to use mixed media and decorate their pages with drawing and painting materials. 与下文“The most important thing when beginning your art journal, however, is selecting the right book. 可知,有些人会选择混合媒体,有些人会用单一媒介,与E项“Others prefer sticking with a single medium that they’re comfortable with. 40.根据上文“There are many considerations when it comes to picking your journal book. (尺寸是其一)”可知,空处应是在另一个要考虑的特征,与C项“Another characteristic to think about is the type of pages in the book. It was a period in my life that tested my patience and my ability to understand others. It all started when I was in middle school. I had a close friend named Emily, and we spent a lot of time together. One day, Emily introduced me to a new girl in our class, named Olivia. Olivia was quiet and shy, but we quickly became friends as well. One afternoon, after school, we were all working on a project in the classroom. As we were discussing our ideas, Olivia suddenly exclaimed out something that completely contradicted what I had been saying. I was shocked and felt a little embarrassed. I tried to explain my point of view, but Olivia was very stubborn and insisted on her own idea. Emily, who was sitting next to me, tried to mediate (调节) the situation. But Olivia got angry and said some unkind words to me. I was hurt and angry, and I couldn’t believe that Olivia would treat me like that. I stormed out of the classroom, leaving Emily and Olivia behind. The next few days were very difficult for me. I avoided Olivia as much as possible, and our friendship with Emily seemed to be stressed. I felt like I had been betrayed by Olivia, and I couldn’t understand why she would do such a thing. One day, I asked Emily why she was still friends with Olivia after what she had done. Emily looked at me with a sad expression and said, “You know, Olivia has been through a lot lately. Her parents are going through a divorce, and she’s really struggling. Maybe she was rude to you because she was feeling overwhelmed and insecure.” Hearing this, I felt a surge of guilt. I realized that I hadn’t taken the time to understand Olivia’s situation. I had been too quick to judge her and too focused on my own feelings of hurt. I decided to talk to Olivia and apologize for my behavior. When I found Olivia, she was sitting alone in the hallway. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Olivia accepted my apology and we had a long conversation. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Possible version: When I found Olivia, she was sitting alone in the hallway. I walked towards her slowly, my heart pounding. As I reached her, I took a deep breath and sat down beside her. She looked up at me, her eyes filled with sadness and uncertainty. I began to speak, telling her how sorry I was for my actions and for not being more understanding. I expressed my realization that we all have our struggles and that I should have been more empathetic. Olivia listened quietly, and as I finished, a small smile appeared on her face. Olivia accepted my apology and we had a long conversation. She opened up to me about her feelings during that difficult time. I listened attentively, feeling a deep connection with her. We talked about how we could move forward and support each other. We also discussed the importance of forgiveness and how it can heal relationships. As we ended our conversation, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. I knew that our friendship would be stronger than ever, and that this experience had taught me a valuable lesson about empathy and forgiveness. 词汇激活 行为类 ①充满……:filled with/full of ②表达:express/extend ③结束:end/put an end to 情绪类 ①悲哀:sadness/sorrow ②专注地:attentively/with attention 【点睛】【高分句型1】As I reached her, I took a deep breath and sat down beside her.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句) 【高分句型2】I expressed my realization that we all have our struggles and that I should have been more empathetic.(运用了that引导的同位语从句) 试卷第2页,共24页 试卷第1页,共24页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 2025年高考英语模拟预热演练(新高考八省) 整体难度:适中 考试范围:主题,语篇 试卷题型 题型 数量 听力选择题 10 阅读理解 5 完形填空 1 语法填空 1 书信写作 1 书面表达 1 试卷难度 难度 题数 容易 2 较易 5 适中 12 细目表分析 题号 难度系数 详细知识点 一、听力选择题 1 0.85 日常生活 2 0.94 周边环境与场所 3 0.65 信息技术 4 0.85 美术与摄影 5 0.94 日常生活 6-7 0.65 日常生活 ;问路 8-10 0.65 计划;食物与饮料 11-13 0.65 广告/布告 14-17 0.65 方法/策略;学习 18-20 0.65 职业内容;计划 二、阅读理解 21-23 0.85 阅读 ;应用文 24-27 0.65 哲理感悟;记叙文;当代教育问题 28-31 0.65 科普知识 ;说明文 32-35 0.65 动物;科普知识 ;说明文 36-40 0.65 方法/策略 三、完形填空 41-55 0.85 记叙文;个人经历 四、语法填空 56-65 0.85 中国文化与节日;太极拳 五、书信写作 66 0.65 中国文化与节日;申请/请求/建议 六、书面表达 67 0.65 学校生活;友谊 知识点分析 序号 知识点 对应题号 1 主题 1,2,3,4,5,6-7,8-10,11-13,14-17,18-20,21-23,24-27,28-31,32-35,36-40,41-55,56-65,66,67 2 语篇范围 21-23,24-27,28-31,32-35,41-55 难度分布 容易 较易 适中 10.53 26.32 63.16 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 2025年高考英语模拟预热演练(新高考八省) 学校:___________姓名:___________班级:___________考号:___________ 第一部分:听力(共两节,满分 30 分) 第一节 听下面 5 段对话。 1.What does the man ask the woman to do? Totty Shirley Galligan To find his home, Totty the turtle goes on an impressive adventure with the help of his friends, and has different obstacles to overcome. B My son asked my husband and me several months ago if he could switch from his mainstream high school to an alternative education environment. A.plot B.history C.novel D.rule C Do you ever find yourself randomly thinking back to the times we wandered, collecting wildflowers and smiling beneath the sky? A.Nostalgia: Why We Should Avoid Reflecting on the Past B.Nostalgia: A Shelter Against the Unhappiness of Our Life C.A Nostalgia Warning: Our Mental Health Being Attacked D.Power of Nostalgia: Struggling for an Irreplaceable Present D Living in a city, you may face fewer parking spaces, more pollution, less personal space, and more traffic and noise, all of which contribute to higher stress levels, often translating to aggression And now, researchers have found evidence that this behavior applies to song sparrows (歌雀) too. A.City Male Birds Do It All B.Aggressive Birds Surprise Scientists C.Big City Life Makes Birds Better Dads D.The Future of City Birds Lies in Our Hands How to Keep Personal Art Journals You might have heard that keeping a journal is a great way to record your thoughts and understand your emotions. 40 . Since it’s a good chance you’ll be using mixed media, select a journal whose paper can handle both drawing and painting. A.An art journal is a visual diary. B.Besides, you become aware of your style. C.Another characteristic to think about is the type of pages in the book. D.This way, you can not only express yourself, but also influence others. E.Others prefer sticking with a single medium that they’re comfortable with. F.But for those who are more visually-minded, an art journal is a great alternative. G.You simply need to enjoy the act of creating something without worrying how it looks. I was in Chicago for a job training when I knew a nearby theatre was releasing a film about saving dogs. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第12页,共13页 试卷第11页,共13页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$null
