Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Pre-listening (20 mins)
1. Lead-in
After greeting, the teacher will show some pictures about the prepositions they learned last class and ask students to review these words and phrases.
2. Presentation
(1) After reviewing, the teacher will show some pictures of common traffic signs and guide the students to tell the meaning of these signs. At the same time, present the related words and phrases.
(2) The teacher will teach how to read the new words and phrases.
3. Prediction
(1) The teacher will ask the students to predict the content of listening according to the picture in1b.
(2) The teacher will ask the students to look at the picture in 1b to find the speaker’s location and guide the students to describe the route to A or B in their words.
Step 2 While-listening (10 mins)

(1) Listen to the tape and fill in where A and B are respectively.
(2) Check the answers.

(2) Listen to the tape and complete the conversation.
(3) Listen again and check.
(4) Choose two students to read the conversation and check the answers.
(5) Listen to the tape and read the conversation together and then role play it in pairs.
