Section A(1a~2c) Unit Topic Weather Subject Category Man and Nature Subtopic content Weather and daily life 学情分析: 通过第六单元的学习,学生已经初步接触现在进行时态,能够正确使用该时态陈述正在发生的事情并进行回答,对该结构的一般疑问句及其回答也进行了一定的运用。 通过听读输入和说的输出,训练词汇和句型,在小组对话和同桌对话中夯实所学语言,在教学活动中应尽量让他们参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感,通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,使各层次的学生都有所收获。 教学内容分析: 这是本单元的第一课时,是一节听说课。话题:谈论天气,由听说导入,进行听说练习,句式:How's the weather? What are you doing? 1a-1c的重点是描述不同地区的天气,学生运用地理常识和气象科学知识,描述天气和正在发生的事。 2a-2c谈论天气以及人们正在做的事情。通过打电话的情景融入电话“打招呼”的交际用语,同时还谈论天气和人们正在从事的活动,对话给我们呈现了small talk,即“闲聊”中如何就天气话题进行交谈的技巧。 本节课在整个单元中起着话题导入的作用。内容贴近学生日常生活,因此课堂任务应侧重听说实践能力。 核心素养教学目标: 1.通过情境体验,能够学会询问天气,使用天气的表达,以及表达正在做的事情,提高交际能力。 2.通过阅读题目所给信息,能够预测听力内容,并用目标句型进行简短对话,提高运用语言的能力。 3.能够拓宽视野,了解世界各地不同天气及人们进行的不同活动,感受地域差异,通过目标词汇和语言的学习, 4.能够联系生活,恰当地表达问候,描述天气状况并创造性地参与角色表演。通过教学活动的开展,锻炼学生对相关话题的听说能力,进一步提升学生的创造性思维与实践性思维。 教学重点: 学生通过情境活动,能够学会询问天气,使用天气的表达,以及表达正在做的事情,提高交际能力。 教学难点: 1. 词汇:cloudy, weather 2. 电话交流用语 Teaching procedure: Procedure Teacher’s Guides Students’ Activities Intention Step 1 Lead-in 1.Watch a video How's the weather today? and sing together. How is the weather? It's a fine day. How is the weather? It's a cloudy day. How is the weather? It's raining. How is the weather? It's snowing. 2. T create a situation about the weather forest, and asks students to look and think how to describe the weather. Watch the animated video and observe the sentence patterns mentioned in the video. Pay attention to how you ask and describe the weather. Enter the weather forecast scenario created by the teacher and think about how to broadcast it. Introduce new lessons through animated songs to stimulate students' interest in learning and enliven the atmosphere. In the process of thinking, students naturally perceive the target language and stimulate their interest in learning. Step 2 Pre- listening 1.Let students look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is.Students learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. 2.Look at the pictures in 1a.Then read the new words on the left.Ask the students to match the words with pictures. 3.Check the answers. Learn new words with your teacher. Complete Part 1a of the book. Observe the picture and connect the city name to the picture. Book tasks help students better grasp the usage of vocabulary and sentence patterns. Read pictures and words before listening to reduce the difficulty of listening. Step 3 While- listening 1.T asks students to finish the task in 1b—Listen and write these city names in the boxes above. 2.T asks students to finish the task in 1c—Imagine you are in one of the places in 1a. Talk about the weather with your friend on the phone. 3.T asks students to look at the pictures and answer the question: What are Linda’s family doing in the picture? 4.T asks students to finish the task in 2a-- Listen and number the pictures 1-4. 7.T asks students to finish the task in 2b-- Listen again. Mach the names with the activities. 8.T asks students to Listen and repeat. Complete the Book 1b task. According to the pictures in section 1a, create a dialogue with your deskmates. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. Complete Part 2a of the book. Complete Part 2b of the book. Through the teaching of listening strategies, students can better grasp the key points of listening. Before listening, guide students to observe the key tasks in the pictures, guess the topic they are talking about, and find keywords for listening. Follow the recording pattern to develop students' awareness of pronunciation and intonation. Step 4 Post- listening Pair work(2c) 1.Look at the pictures and talk about the people in 2a with a partner. 2.Ask a student the questions as a model: T:What's Uncle Joe doing? S1:He's playing basketball. 3.The teacher leads students to sum up the language points above. 4.Students work in pairs.Ask and answer about the pictures. Complete Part 2c of the book: Listen to the tape and answer this question Read the conversation and answer the questions. Fill in the sentences according to the conversation. Let the students do the pair exercises, enhance the students' sense of cooperation, and master the knowledge. Step 5 Summary Summarize the key content and the main points.
