Listen and match the words and expressions from Box A with the words and expressions from Box B. · Ask the class to read through the words and expressions and try to math them. · Play the recording and ask students to listen and check their answers. · Play the recording again and ask them to go through the answers. · Elicit answers from the whole class. Match the expressions in Activity 1 with the pictures. · Ask students to match the expressions in Activity with the pictures and check with a partner. · Check answers with the whole class. · Ask students to read these expressions together. Step 4:Listen and read. 1. Play the video of A3 and then ask Ss to answer the question: What are the students talking about? 2. Play the recording and ask Ss to imitate it. 3. Ask Ss to read the dialogue in roles. Then answer the questions. (1) What’s Daming going to do on Saturday morning? (2) What’s Betty going to do on Saturday afternoon? (3) Who is going to have a piano lesson on Saturday? (4) Where are they going to meet? 4. Have Ss act out the conversation. Step 5: Practice. Complete the conversation with the correct form of the words from the box.(A4) 1. Read the words in the box with the students. Demonstrate, teach and check the meaning of all the words. Ask Ss to repeat them chorally. 2. Ask Ss to complete the conversation individually, and then check their answers in pairs. 3. Ask two students to read the conversation.
