I. 教材分析 (Analysis of the learning material ) What:主要介绍了西方音乐的历史和发展，包括著名音乐家、 音乐作品和音乐风格。本节课的内容涉及到西方音乐的基本知识，如交响乐、钢琴曲、歌剧等，以及一些著名音乐家的生平事迹和代表作品。通过本节课的学习，学生可以了解西方音乐的发展历程，提高对音乐文化的认识和欣赏能力。 How:本节课以培养学生的阅读能力为重点的教学思想。引导学生.自学自悟的方式，提供了学生自主合作探究的舞台，营造了阅读和思考的空间，在阅读过程中，培养了学生观察、探究、合作、归纳的能力。基于以上设计，通过木节课的学习学生能辨别感叹句，能够读懂有关音乐及任务介绍的文章，掌握其细节内容，能掌握任务介绍的基本写作方法，写出简单的人物介绍并且学生能结合音乐、图片、影视材料介绍音乐和作曲家。 Why: 本模块以“音乐”为话题，主要介绍西方古典音乐及其音乐家，同时也引导学生更多地了解中国音乐和音乐家。音乐教育不仅仅是培养音乐家，而首先是培养人。通过本模块的学习学生可以更多的了解音乐，热爱音乐，培养审美情趣，陶冶情操。 教学目标 (Teaching objectives) 在本课学习结束时，学生能够： 1. 掌握重点单词、短语和句型： centre, European, classical, century, composer, poor, another, poor, perfect，piano,violin,elder,waltz, dance music, in the eighteenth century, called, He played not only...but also... 2.理解文章内容，获得重要信息，提高阅读能力。 3.了解外国伟大音乐大师和西方音乐的不同文化，培养学生热爱生活、热爱音乐、积极乐观的精神。 II. 教学重、难点 (Key & difficult points) 能够掌握人物介绍的基本写作方法，写出简单的人物介绍。 III. 教学方法（teaching methods） 情景教学法（the Situational Method）、交际法（the Communicative Approach） 教学过程 (Learning procedures) 教学目标（Objectives） 学习活动（Activities） 效果评价（Assessment） 设计意图（Purpose） 1. 通过师生问候、复习在第一课中学到的内容，为本课的阅读打好背景基础。 1. Ask students if they can play a musical instrument and when they started.Elicit some musical instruments. Write them down if students don’t know how to stay them in English. 2. Show some pictures of different musical instruments on the screen. Reading and vocabulary （1）Work on activity 1. 1) Ask students whether they have ever been to a traditional Western music concert. Find out if any of the students sing in a choir or play in an orchestra. 2)Read the words in the box and have students repeat them after you. 3)Put students in pairs to describe the picture. （2）Work on Activity 2. 1)Tell students some information about Vienna in Austria.Use the picture to teach the key vocabulary. 2)Ask students whether they know some famous classical musicians. 3)Tell students to listen and answer the questions. 4)Play the recording again for them to check. 5) Ask students to read the statements and make their own judgement before reading the passage. 6)Tell them to read the passage and underline key information when they find it and not to worry about the vocabulary they don’t know. （4） Work on Activity 3. 1) Read the questions with the students. 2) Put students into pairs to talk about the questions.
