Why: It’s meaningful for students to know the life history of Mark Twains and get experience of being a successful writer from him. How: Many past verbs are used in this text to meet its language function: writing about people in the past. The dialogue is developed by subsequent question and answer. Analysis of students They have already known some famous writers and their life history more or less. And they are skilled in locating factual information about information of people. However, they are not familiar with Mark Twain and his works and they have problems in introducing the writers I the past. It's necessary for the teacher to take students ZPD into consideration and guide them to learn more about Mark Twain’s life history and introduce a writer in the past by scaffolding.
